After a long recruitment process, Chris Paul has left his agency to join LRMR.

Paul informed his agency at Octagon that he had decided to leave.

LRMR was created by LeBron James and Maverick Carter.

LRMR has yet to make a formal announcement that Paul will be joining them, and sources believed they might have been waiting to use James’ Thursday night free-agent announcement as a backdrop to release the story.

“He’s left Octagon,” Paul’s agent Jeff Austin told Yahoo! Sports. “We’re proud of the work we did with him over the past five years. We wish him nothing but the best.”

the conspiracy theorist in me makes me wonder if this is Chris Paul's last ditch attempt to keep Lebron out of Miami. Maybe Chris Paul says - I'll come to Cleveland in 2012. he's been trying to get Bron to give Byron Scott a chance in Cleveland.

That is exactly what I thought when I read it. I don't think I would trade for Paul unless he resigns as part of the deal.

That is exactly what I thought when I read it. I don't think I would trade for Paul unless he resigns as part of the deal.

Paul has been telling Lebron to stay in Cleveland though. He wants him to play for Byron Scott... and I'm guessing wants to join him in 2012. Paul might realize that's HIS own best shot at a chip.

It's impossible to fit four max deals under the cap. By definition a max deal is 30% of the cap - 4 maxes would be 120%. Of course, over the cap teams can trade, but Miami will have no extra deals to make that trade.

chris Paul has big problems ahead of him- if that story was true that instead of stitching up the tear in his knee cartlidge, the doctors completely removed it to speed up the recovery process, then he is screwed in a couple of years because removing the cartlidge can essentially cripple you after 2 years. I still can't believe that his doctors would actually do that, as it's completely short sighted, in fact I still don't fully believe that story!
