This is going in the lines of what has been rumored that all these cats are actually taking less money to play together. I have to admit that would be the most impressive part of the whole mess. If Wade, Bosh and Lebron said no to max contracts just to suit up together and still try to get pieces to go with them. All in an effort to take down Kobe and Phil.

if you are under the cap once FA starts, you don't get the MLE

They can't even if they trade Beasley.

I get the feeling Born is going back to Cleveland.

i guess not. they cant sign anyone else unless they come with the veteran minimum which this is not. this is great news. lebron cant go to miami.

I remember reading a quote that Wade said to the Knicks get me one Superstar to go with and I will get you a championship. Everyone is playing this LeBron to Miami angle but Wade doesn't want him. You don't think he wants the lime light the heat situation is no longer about LeBron they got their stars. That is why I think this LeBron to Miami is a bunch of BS.

If this offer is true (doubtful), then it means that Miami does not expect LBJ. A poster on another site made an excellent point, that as the day progresses we will see which teams are out of it by what transactions are rumored with other free agents. If this is true then I can see it beig great news. But simply because it would be good news for us i dont think that we should give it any more credence than other reports that we have discounted.

MLE only if you are over the cap. They aren't, and neither are we - not available to them or us.

What happens if all 3 take less money would that be enough for this type of deal?

"The Heat have offered Mike Miller a five-year deal, worth approximately $27 million-$30 million.

Miami has given Miller a deadline of Thursday night to decide.

Miller has been told by the Heat that they are 'confident' LeBron James will be joining the Heat."

Or Lebron is coming to NY and they worry Miller might sign on with us for less for a chance to win something?

Miller has been pretty popular.

But, that makes sense.

So why has he actively been trying to recruit him? Maybe they think they can convince Clev. that they will have to take a S&T.

So each guy takes 2 million less in order to take Miller? This on top of already taking a slight cut to fit all three "max" salaries given Miami's cap situation? So $13m per yr starting salaries. Is this likely?

I don't think it is likely but the no state income tax in Florida increases the amount that they make significantly.
