Lebron comes to NY and the celebration is on

Lebron chooses another city, he becomes less adored in The Garden and Donnie can get back to work and sign a lead guard and center

Unless Donnie Walsh can somehow land Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul or Deron Williams, there is no way he'll be able to build a team to even in the same league as Miami with their Big 3. I just hope these rumors about LeBron James going to Miami are false. Basketball dies if this happens.

While I don't think we should bash him I do have one serious question:

Do we want a guy who would book a 1 hour special to announce where he is going?

Think about it - this is not good for sports, his legacy, or the team he is going to. Sure he is giving to charity but there are many other ways he could have done that. MJ, Kobe, Magic, etc - none of these guys would pull this kind of stunt.

If he decided on NY I would be happy to have the talent but I am a little worried that his ego is too big for any team to handle.

Queen is great, but Princess is better.

Wade is the King on that team, Bosh (the lapdog) is his Queen.

James was last to hop on board. He is a Princess, IMO.

good points... and look at other sports, would Manning or Brady or even Arod or Pujols do this... the only one that would is Favre... lebron is making kobe seem classy

The charity angle is just a cynical ploy so he can save some face and not damage his "brand."

If he chose new york obviously i'd forgive him for the 1 hour special. But objectively, if he is leaving Cleveland, it's such a lousy way to treat your fans and even your team mates- aparantly he still hasn't even told them yet and they have to tune into 'The Decision'. I don't think thats how you should treat people who've played with you and supported you. I didn't have a problem with him taking his time to decide, and not answering any questions or giving hints, but I think the way he's chosen to announce his decision is spectacularly bad and will just p*** off all of the fans of the teams he rejected AND a lot of 'journalists' who feel like they've been played throughout.

I really don't think he genuinely has any idea how much hate he is going to get from all this after tonight- really his management should hve advised him better.
