if he does come to NY and the late Miami story was just smoke from his team, how do feel getting played & manipulated?

I'm concerned we're getting a bit of a monster of our own making, one who we really want, but who is going to be a bit of a vampire and ultimately feeding off us.

Lebron has turned me off big time. I'd still be happy to have him but personality-wise he's no Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett--he's an ego-maniac.

Yep.

Probably this. And unless something changes soon, I don't think he has what it tales to actually LEAD a team to a championship despite being just about any team's best player by quite a bit.

The media played itself by being one-dimensional, intellectually lazy and redundant

anyone who hangs on every word produced by some hack on a 24 hour news cycle deserves any letdown or disappointment for being just as lazy and gullible

the sour grapes of dissapointment is fabricated by the same desire to have him for ones "home team".

He is a likable person and will amaze on the court. Thats his job, what he does best.

The public responds to the media events so we all took the bait and are to blame.

personally i don’t give a **** about what's happened this week. i want lebron on the knicks. i want to surround him with stronger talent including and maybe most importantly a strong point guard. lebron is NOT a pg. he should not be handling the ball nearly as much as he does. he can be a phenomenal player by utilizing his size, speed and skills much more off the ball. then his passing ability becomes maximally utilized.

Really?

There are millions of people who are being played by a guy who makes four times ($400M) what Lebron has on the table. There is little effort to convey truth, only fear and loathing. Rush Limbaugh does it every day on syndicated radio.

Premier Radio sucks in money from sponsors based on ratings alone, with no regard for the damage to the conversation

same. I dont believe 90% of the crap that comes from sources or "Lebron's camp."

To me this is just the crap you have to deal with in todays media/internet age.

We gave ourselves a great shot to get this guy. If he's a Knick then awesome. Thats all I care about. My only other thought is I'm glad the cap went up so we can sign Earl Barron because we need bigs.
