Although I think O'Connor is one of their few guys who thinks the Knicks are in play.
Do you think that all the ESPN reporters are in cahoots- attempting to drive up ratings by giving people the belief that all teams have a chance?
The reason I don't believe in an ESPN conspiracy is that as far as I know, James only just suggested the ESPN show idea, and O'Connor has been leaning toward him going to the Knicks for awhile.
it's been in the works for months. originally the plan was for ESPN to follow lebron and do a documentary on the FA process as he visited each city. mav carter squashed that idea, fearing backlash to the lebron brand.
but they've been in cahoots with ESPN for months. that's why broussard has all these inside reports.
ian oconnor doesn't just work for ESPN, he works for ESPN NY. of course his job is to drive up traffic for ESPN NY by reporting the knicks are in contention. chris sheridan, too.
Got to go watch
Conspiracy Theory again for some possible clues.
Not sure we end up getting James, but I usually don't buy into conspiracies such as this one.
Basically, you are saying that ESPN has known about what James is doing the entire time and is just playing us. I don't like many of the ESPN people I see-they are a cocky bunch who would have people think that their analysis is somehow "special," but I am not willing to buy into the idea that they have some special inside info and are just playing us.
