Ok this one I don't get at all at this point. Rather have Lee than Boozer...but why get two PFs?

http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/news/story?id=5359501

It's unclear how Boozer would fit with a team that just gave a five-year, $100 million deal to another power forward, Amare Stoudemire, but the source said a meeting between the Knicks and Boozer is "possible."

Its just an "exploratory" meeting, according to ESPN.

No shot this goes down.

From Larry Coon's FAQ

78. Can a free agent be signed and immediately traded?

Under no circumstances can a team sign and then trade another team's free agent.

I think we'd have to wait two months.

The thought of even talking to Boozer. Disgusting. Hopefully, this rumor is fake. But, then you can't fault the Knicks for doing their due diligence.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Amare is going to be the starting center most likely so theoretically Boozer can play power foward. I think this could actually be interesting don't know if it would work though. Boozer is a bit undersized but he's a good defender and rebounds and the guy can score.
No layups!

I think Lee would be a better fit next to Amare. Lee brings a lot of complementary skills to the table

I would prefer Lee to Boozer, but either one really doesn't make logical sense. Unless you want to see Lee get 14 and 9 next season, instead of 20 and 12. He's not worth his asking value as a player likely to put up something like 14 and 9, with average defense, at best.

I think his rebounding would still be double digits or better (Amare doesn't really hit the defensive glass as much). He also passes the ball quite well and would pitch in some "point forward" play. It wouldn't be my no.1 choice but its a potentially viable option if the cap money ends up being there.

ChadFord: Bulls, Nets & Cavs all intensify negotiations with Carlos Boozer in an effort to woo LeBron

Knicks perhaps trying to distract Boozer from CHI, NJ, CLE.

Now all of those teams trying to get their "Amare". Interesting...

I thought you were talking about a S&T of Lee to the Spurs for Parker. We could still do that and then sign Boozer if we really wanted him if we don't get James.

If Lee goes in a s&t we dont have the room to sign another free agent except for the difference between Lee's new salary and the salary taken back

Yup- I was thinking that Curry went with him, for some reason.
