He never even visited the NY facilities? Actually he hasn't visited any place--so what does that tell you?

i kind of agree. i think he's staying in Cleveland, probably on a three year deal and then he'll join proko and jay-z in brooklyn.

but the knicks are sort of calling his bluff here: hey lebron, if you want to win big and play with a superstar in a huge market for a great coach in a famous arena and build a legacy... here it is.

can't fault the knicks for trying. obviously part of lebron wants to leave, that's the reason for this flirtation. part of him wants to stay. we'll see which side wins out.

It tells me he doesnt seek attention and isnt the diva that Bosh is after all.

We know Lebron could have signed a massive extension for more money but didnt because he wanted to explore his options. He has said repeatedly he loves the city of NY and loves playing at MSG as well.

Cle has and always has had the best shot at resigning him. History doesnt lie. That being said we know he loves this city and this area and has interests beyond basketball that making living and playing here very attractive.

NY also now has the talent to win right away. Amare gives them a 5 time all star post player. He's the 2nd IMPACT scorer he never had in Cle that Shaq was never able to be (too old). He's got a couple of shooters that will prevent the defense from collapsing on him every time. Walsh is a good GM and MDA a good coach who knows how to coach stars.

A Lebron/Amare/Gallo trio is as good as any in the NBA. Chandler and Douglas are ready to be solid role players right away.

Anyone that thinks Chicago was ever a front runner has paid attention to nothing about this guy.

Until he resigns its NY he's on the fence about.

Then what, pray tell, was the reasoning behind this immense charade? How do you, as an integral part of your team, and wanting to win the ring, not recruit for better players to join you? How do you not get the best team together now, as opposed to waiting a minimum of 3 yrs, with the new CBA in place? It makes no sense. The thinking man moves now, while his star is the brightest. Not 3 yrs from now, when who knows what can happen.

For what it's worth, Tommy Dee reported the other day that Bron & Mav Carter may be in town this Weds..This whole thing is only over when the fat lady starts signing, and she ain't singin' yet! We'll see..I mean if their minds are already made up, why come to NY with your buddy Maverick Carter on Weds??? Why shop around for mega-apartments a stone's throw from the Garden, as he was reportly doing a few weeks ago? If I turned down NYC, I wouldn't want to live right smack in mid-town Manhattan, right by MSG, I can tell you that. He'd go from potential savior to chicken-**** coward/nobody if he rejects the Knicks. So if the Knicks we're never in really in this, why even bother looking at the best apartments money can buy in Manhattan right by MSG?? Makes no sense. And remember, he was shopping for apartments BEFORE we landed Amar'e Stoudemire..Just keeping it all in perspective..I think we're still very much alive here...It'd be nice if we were working on something else to make us even more attractive at the moment that we could present last-minute here (Okafor/Collison, Tony Parker, Melo --- I know they said their not trading him and supposedly threw out the 3-yr extention again (which is nothing new - that's been on the table for awhile now), but if I'm the Knicks, I call up Denver right now and offer Lee & Gallinari for Melo and see what they say to that -- I'd be willing to bet we haven't offered that, maybe just Lee, maybe nothing --- Melo's the best plan B out there. If I could get Melo in here with Amar'e, I wouldn't even care about James anymore to be honest ), but I still like our chances....Like I've been saying ad nauseam -- I'd like our chances even better if we had a big trade waiting in the wings right now ready to go...CONTINUE TO BE AGGRESSIVE IN YOUR PURSUIT OF THIS GUY WHILE ALSO KEEPING ALL OPTIONS OPEN!!

i'm pretty sure Lebron has visited NYC before & has been to MSG more than a few times... same goes for Chicago & Miami.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

The follow up clarification meeting, post Amare announcement.

If the Knicks weren't an option, Lebron and team would not have cared if we had the room to sign him.

I know it sounds like we turned what was a simple fact check call into a meeting, but even for them to make the call, I think sends the message that we're being considered.

It tells me that all this waiting is reeking hell on your nerves and peace of mind! That after the past 10 years of having to endure foolish mistake after foolish mistake, and every gamble taken having ended in worst-case scenario style failure that you don't dare hope for something good to happen to this team for a change- that you've come to expect failure and disaster from them! Well, to be honest I feel like that a lot of the time, but you know as much as we're all grasping at straws and every titbit of information as proof of what we hope or fear, the truth is no one knows what he's going to do at all, but thankfully we just have a couple more days to endure (if he drags this out any longer than Wednesday evening/Thursday morning, I think I'll pull out all my hair and weep!

He hasn't visited any facilities? Objectively that tells me that he's not basing his decision on practice facilities. He's played and visited all the cities so he doesn't need to visit them. But thats not really the point as we all interpret any info we're getting based on whether we're feeling hopeful or have sense of imending doom!

Lebron has been quite professional in this off-season. He is under a lot of oressure and trying to buy time for Cle, can't blame him for that. But we need to call his bluff and make another move. Meet with Wade again and try to get him to sign here.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

i don't believe wade will ever sign here.

and it seems like bron wants to stay in cleveland.

the knicks should contact minnesota about a sign and trade of david lee for the rights to ricky rubio.

I agree but we have to take something back. Minn only has $7mm left in cap space. Lee is worth double and will get it.
