![]() My only concern with Amare is his health. If you sign him to a max guaranteed contract only to see his knee blow up after 30 games, the franchise will be screwed once again for years to come. Now I understand that might as well happen with any big time FA, but risk is higher with Amare cause he had microfracture kneed surgery before.

![]() Bosh occupies much of the same space as Lebron.
Amare does not get in Lebrons way as much Bosh operates further away from the rack Amare drives inside with evil intent Bosh is finesse and earns style points Amare will snatch a manly rebound in traffic Advantage: Oakley tinted goggles once a knick always a knick

![]() I still hope LeBron comes to NY and Bosh follows him in a S&T for David Lee... even htough I prefer an healthy Amare to pair with LeBron, I don't think I can live with a player who had major health issues...

![]() Bosh Is probably better one on one and a better rebounder, Amare is better at attacking the rim and he's very powerful you see him send people flying when he's under the rim. Amare would fit in NY he's got the swagger he doesn't back down from anyone which I love and he's got personality, I'll never forget after the Spurs Suns brawl he was asked by the media if he came off the bench he said no coach told me to check in the game at the stop of play so I went to check in lmao he still got suspended but it was hilarious. Bosh while very talanted is a big primadonna he wants max money via the sign in trade otherwise he would prob be in miami already, he seems not to care about winning at all he just wants money and attention and has been acting like a complete clown.

![]() Bosh is lighter and not as strong as Amare. He's more skilled tho and I think can create more for himself. Two totally different players, but very effective. Amare is going to be able to slide right into Lee's spot. Bosh would have to make some slight adjustments and adapt, but he's more than capable. We can't lose with either player IMO.
The only question is who does Lebron favor or does he even care? |

![]() Prefer Bosh due to Amare's knee issues. Amare's game depends on explosiveness and power, which are what goes once he gets hurt (not to mention increasing the chances of getting banged up by playing such an in your face power game). Risk isn't something Lebron is likely to want more of. Bosh has the right skills to mix with Lebron. His style of play will probably expose him to less injury risk and give him a better chance of playing for most of his contract (thus more playoff races and possible chips). The NYK are the only team with assets the Raptors want (funny how this fact emerges after so many have yelped that we have no assets left). If Bosh finds his six years elsewhere, Amare is certainly the next best thing and they are pretty close to even as far as options go for pairing with Lebron (ceteris paribus).
I like Lee, and could see him in a number of alternate non-Lebron plans for us, but if he goes I would be happy to see him get that extra $11mil for the longer deal. It gives him future protection and flexibility. I think he still has a lot of upside to improve his game (i.e., defense and long range shooting). Wednesday's news I hope will headline Lebron + Bosh are the new NYK. |

![]() Lee was able to get a ton of the same looks Amare usually gets even tho we didn't have a good PG. I'm sure DW realizes Amare will need to be setup. Even as bad as we were this team still got 20 assists. They come from everyone.

![]() Bosh is the better defender and rebounder than Amare.
Amare played against better big men in the west. Nitowski, Both Gasol bros, Randoplh,David west, Duncan, Boozer and plays with more fire via his emotions. When bosh faces a top challenger from his opponent, he softens up. Amare does have that knee factor where he'll probably dominate for another 3 yrs then he'll start to decline. Bosh can isolate one on one scenerio against his opponent.. Amare is a master of the pick roll with a very good pg. The Future. GO KNICKS!

![]() They both have plusses and minuses in their game. But age and injuries favor Bosh.

![]() I don't even think Randolph is/was much worse than Amare...
The league is full of PF's who does not want to play D. |

![]() Bosh can do a little more of everything on the floor but Amare has more power and killer instinct. Bosh has the cleaner injury record and is younger but Amare wins on toughness.

![]() DarkKnicks wrote:I don't even think Randolph is/was much worse than Amare... I gotta disagree Randolph was a black hole on offense worse than Al Harrington, He played no D and one of the reasons he rebounded is because he would miss and rebound his own shot like 2 times a given possession Amare shoots a much higher percentage and his D is actually better he also has the ability to block shots when he wants 2. ![]() The shot efficiency between someone like Amare and Zach Randolph is not even close. Thats not a valid comparison IMO.
The valid comp is between Amare and Lee. Similar shooting efficiency. Amare would seem to bring more varied offense to the table but Lee closed the gap last year. Lee is a better rebounder. Amare is bigger. |
