Clippers statement on LeBron James meeting

Jul 2

“We can only surmise how the meeting went from our standpoint, and from our standpoint, it went very well. We approached it in a very honest and direct way, and we felt that their reaction was considerate and receptive.”

“We’re not going to go into any details about the meeting’s specifics. But it was our goal to present tangible and very obvious reasons as to why we think LeBron choosing our organization is his best option: we clearly have the best team already in place for him to join, we have the best city, the best arena, the best practice facility – overall the best situation.”

“By communicating all of that in a sincere way, we accomplished our preliminary goal.”

“Now what we can do is wait and see how it all resonates, plus continue to be comprehensive in our efforts to improve our team for the upcoming season.”

“No matter what, we’re getting at least one great new player this summer: his name is Blake Griffin.”

Wow Chris Kaman -Center
Blake Griffin -Poward Forward
Lebron James -Small forward
Eric Gordon- Shooting Guard
Baron Davis - Point Guard

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

My point is it can't be about winning now for Lebron, because this would be the best team on paper for him to join if that was the his reason .

That squad would be sick !

Right. Because when I think of a winning franchise, I think of the Clippers.

Yeah, well that's the downside of the Clippers. The owner will let a good team fall apart rather than spending money. LeBron would have to be nuts to go there. Of all 30 teams, that is the worst choice.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

This isn't Fantasy League! There's more to this than just being able to put a roster together with some names on it, that seems like it would be awesome. It's not just the players on the roster. Over time LAC as proven that they can't keep teams together. They always seems to mess things up. The ownership there is just not set on Winning. In a similar way the Knicks have been bad, but Dolan has stepped to the side and allowed his people to make the right moves and more importantly for the 1st time in a longtime he's trusted the franchise to the right people. I think NY has changed for the better.

Lebron to the Clippers doesn't even make him the best player in his own gym.

LOL.

Their reaction was considerate and receptive. Meaning LeBron wanted to be polite, but didn't want anything to do with that organization.

Knicks total record in their history: 2483-2516 (.497)

Before the past decade, we really were rich in winning tradition. Now we're a losing franchise. Nice.
