Knicks appear to be doing all they can here. Requested and got a second meeting -- all we can ask for right? This second meeting undoubtedly had to do with Amar'e Stoudemire -- as in, we have a good chance at Amar'e, is that enough? If not, what else would you require? I like it..Hey for all we know, maybe team Lebron said to us, "go make a big move, then come back and talk to us." Listen, the King's probably a longshot at this point but I like that we got a crack at a second meeting to go over some stuff. We obviously had something we needed to tell him (could it be that we now could get Bosh in a S&T??). Hopefully it was about Amar'e and then some or about Bosh...As far as I know, not many teams got a 2nd meeting with one of these big potential targets except Chicago with Wade. And now us. |

Knicks met with LeBron's agent Sat. in CLE to make new pitch with Amar'e in fold. LeBron wasn't there, had dinner w/ friends in Akron. Knicks are still considered long shot. NY Daily News first reported second meeting w/ agent Leon Rose. Knicks have a new chip in game with Amare & they're taking it for a spin. Bulls, Heat had same battle plan if they'd gotten a commitment. What Knicks really want is LeBron to visit NY with Amar'e to try to close deal. LeBron has been non-committal so far. |
