They'd want more than we'd be willing to give. Wilson Chandler and Curry would never get it done, which really only leaves maybe Chandler and Lee in a sign and trade, which is very unlikely. I'd like to see it happen but it's not going to. What I find really worrying is the NY Post article:

"I've talked to Carmelo Anthony to come out here, I've talked to Tony Parker," Stoudemire said last night after seeing a Broadway show. "Both those guys are ready to join me if I decide to come here, so I'm gonna see if we can work it out."Stoudemire said he also was hoping to play with the leader of this year's historic class of free agents -- LeBron James.
"That'd be great," he said, "but we've got to wait and see."
Why would he go straight onto trying to recruit those two unless he knows Lebron definitely isn't coming? And then to make matters worse, this is from the other NY post article:
The Knicks chased hard after Stoudemire, feeling he was a better personality fit for New York than power forward Chris Bosh. The club felt Stoudemire, who spent part of his childhood in upstate Newburgh, had the mental toughness to play in New York -- something brass deemed vital.Bosh had recently talked about being "a country boy" and saying it would be an adjustment with all the people.
"He's a different personality," a member of the Knicks brain trust said of Stoudemire. "He's very strong-minded and he's not going to back down from the challenge of playing in New York, especially if he's by himself as the lone star."

That last line also seems to indicate the Knicks have been told that Lebron isn't coming
