Stoudemire could bail out on those visits if he was stuck in a New York state of mind, of course, but that's on his itinerary.

To clarify, Joe Johnson story says he's expected to decide in 24 hours and he's leaning strongly toward Atlanta. Anything can happen though.

Two sources close to Joe Johnson tell FanHouse he will make a decision within 24 hours and that "barring a major change," it's Atlanta.

I do wonder if that itinerary was from before the NY flirtation began. I would be surprised at this point if we didn't have an agreement by Monday and Amare still followed through to NJ and Chicago.

Stoudemire's agent, Happy Walters, by his side for the play and on Eighth Avenue as his client was mobbed by fans, was asked if he believes his client will be a Knick after Monday's meeting. Walters smiled, and in full stride down 47th St., replied: "Yes, I mean we are here aren't we? Hopefully it goes well on Monday. We are here in New York, aren't we?"

I think there's a reason Amare's meeting with the Knicks is so late in the FA period, despite the fact that we've courted him from day one and reportedly gave him a max offer.

I'm guessing that when we met Bosh, we gave him a deadline of Monday to decide, otherwise we would have to move onto our second option. Whether Amare knows he's second on the list, who knows? But I think that if we don't get Bosh by Monday, we will offer Amare a max deal.
