THis has been an incredible chess game to behold and Im for one and enjoying it!

Lebron is being asked to save Clevelenad like Superman was after he got laid and lost his powers! Weird.

I Congradulate the knicks on making the first move what appears to be Amare. True they are over paying for him. This is not about Just amare, there is the big picture.

Bosh is not taking the lead although he really was in control of it all. HE wants 6 year max money. Over paying for AMare is not terrible as it causes others to react. Get it Briggy, its a chess game!

You force your opponent into a counter move and force the issue.

Unless Bosh comes off his max money deal and plays by Torontos rules now he loses the control. The Trio fantasy in Miami is gone. We made Toronto in control of Miami's destiny. THe Dude in the wheelChair has a white persian cat!!!! Toronto don't want Beas in sign and trade. Bosh needed to go first. He could not commit to Miami, Amare is not in Miami, so If Bosh don't go to south beach they are left with Booze. Wade sees Chicago and his Kids over Boozer and DLeagers in Miami.

DRose can be traded with Deng for Chris Paul. Me think?

Now the Alpha Dog Lebron can take a Pat Riley deal with bosh (he not gonna take the pay cut in miami, and NY is out) and now Pat the Rat can offer Wade and Lebron to play with Booze! THis cuts Lebron out of Miami. The Bosh-Lebron-Wade in Chicago is really not that real as bulls don't even have enough to sign two max's!!!!!

So Lebron is now faced with Chicago, but he got Amare and a shooter in Gallo in NY with Eddy's expiring! Or Take the "pat the rat trio salary cut deal" in NY with Amare AND JOE JOHNSON and the three of them make more money together than apart in NYC! (Pie in sky stuff, but plausible)

Knicks are forcing the pieces to react.

Of course we over pay for Amare. In a game of chess to win you have to make your opponent commit.

There are times you have to "lose the battle to win the war!" Congrats to Walsh for making the first move. I don't know how this all shakes out but Amare is taking in Broadway shows while Bosh is eating candy on christmas day. Problem is, your a grown man eating candy while AMare is eating at Sardi's! and shopping penthouse cribs.

Walsh is "Blofeld" in the Wheel Chair!

Amare maybe meeting with the Nets and Bulls on Tuesday. This could change the chess match but all signs are pointing to him signing in NY at this point.

I'd agree, and to some extent, they picked the one player they had the best shot at- you kinda could see the suns low balling Amare- hopefully he does not end up like Curry- with the injury history and lack of insurance.

The knicks don't care about insurance- wonder if they Russian would.

Familiar system with MDA.

And yes, Lebron has a choice- come to NYC and play with what is probably the best player he has played with. Or, what? Stay in Cleveland, or pick a bulls team that doesn't have room yet for a second max star or play second fiddle to wade in Miami.

Amare is a "win now" type of move.

Sid, good pickup on blowfelds demise.

Knicks will be better next year but the relity is we can't retool to contend deep.

In a few yeas we are in the smokestake again!

I hope someone is making a documentry of all this or a "docudrama" could be concocted off all this.

The hype, intrigue, and charactors are amazing. Cleveland spend 300k to have a 15 min cartoon made to make him laugh?

Pat Riley is all in on this one. Wade is wavering? Amare swoopes in and grabs the reigns of all this. There has got to be hilarity in lebrons Camp of characters. Some dude named "Maverick" and he is not a porn star or cowboy? As reported, he is scared of losing his posture if they go to NYC? Anyone remember why Byron Scott was fired? He sucks! Anyone remember why Avery Johnson was fired? Has any team squandered draft picks and luck worse than the Bulls? Even when they are good they have been bad!!! And still they are in it!!!!

Got a dude called "world wide wes"? A Russian mobster billionaire and super Rapstar collaborating? The Clippers even let in the room? Decrepid Donnie in a wheel chair with neck brace in tandem with smooth MDA, the frumpy gazzilionaire who "Write them checks YO!" and the fundamentally sound and handsome H20 all making pitches.

Somewhere Shaq has played a roll in all this. He was in Miami, in cleveland, in Phoenix........and the lakes!

We have waited for years for this and its damn good theatre! Enjoy it Briggy for what it is!!! A well orchestrated farce of comedic proportions!

Its a MAD MAD MAD WORLD! (nba style)!

I thought about the Nets swooping in and offering Amare a contract, trying to steal the Knicks thunder, but I doubt they offer him anything until Lebron makes a decision either way. Hopefully, the Knicks lock up Amare before that.

If you get amare and monta ellis how many wins does that equate? You still dont have a point guard or the big you have wanted to block shots and play defense. You mortgaged everything for a 6 seed and didnt even wait for the big boys to decide? You could have made the playoffs as a 6 the last couple of years if you would have made some moves instead of trading everyone to get to free agency.

When you actually take a minute think about everything that's going on, it does make quite the ridiculous story. The behind the scenes, tell-all "Summer of 2010 Free Agency" books that come from this will be entertaining, but if someone really wants to make money, it'd be a mini documentary. Maybe the next ESPN 30 for 30..

Indeed...think of the free press value of the coverage of this event for the league as a whole. Keeps the fans interested and generates gossip in a period of time when there is little coverage or happening in the league.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
