The Knicks have been virtually eliminated from contention for LeBron James, according to a report from Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

James' camp categorized New York's presentation as 'lacking preparedness and organization.'

understandable... it takes time & effort to put together a good, well thought out presentation... i mean we've only been building up to this moment for the past 2 years.

You think Lebron wants to hear about statical models about potential earnings?

Lebron's handlers know the only thing keeping Lebron being undisputed is CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I dunno. This piece doesn't describe how he feels about NY, its coach, players, money to made, etc.

I hear you but out of all of these cheese-balls this guy is by far the most accurate. He knew about the whole Uconn trouble piece by piece and I don't see Yahoo as having any bias.

Assuming that this is truly Lebron's sentiment... I have to say that speaking out on the presentation in such a manner is an utterly classless act! Its one thing not to select, or eliminate a team from this process.. BUT WHY disrespect the organization by citing a lack or preparation, etc.??? I wanted Lebron to be a Knick as bad as most, but if this report holds truth... It is apparent that, he has a lot of growing to do, and lacks leadership.

My belief: It has to have some merit, because even if LBJ didnt directly make the comments.. and his camp is not leaking word to the public.. WHY hasn't he refuted the commentary?

BOTTOMLINE: Its all good though.. We'll move on.. and we'll certainly be in a better position than last year. I dont buy into the belief that we failed because we didnt get Lebron, Bosh or Wade. I like Stoudemire, and potentially Felton.

Who knows maybe we can Flip Felton, the expiring contract of Eddy Curry, and Wilson Chandler for a marquee Point Guard. (Tony Parker)

THERE IS REASON FOR OPTIMISM, IMO.

This is just Briggs' way of preparing for the possibility that we don't land James.

He is hoping that his anger mitigates his disappointment with the Knicks if we don't get him and the Nyets do.

It's not over yet and i'm not saying I fully believe this report, but if it's true. What it sounds like to me is that maybe he's angling to go back to Cleveland for 3 yrs and then move to NJ after that.

Not believing he could make up the 30 mil sounds crazy to me. There's absolutely a way he can make that money up and then some and all he and his crew need to do is talk to Interbrand or some other similar company themselves to understand how. How does the presentation outweigh the facts? I'm not gonna say no to a great, perfect new home just cuz the broker didn't wow me. The most important thing is the substance of the home not the delivery of the broker. Will we be a better home for this guy over the rest of his career than Cleveland or Chicago? I've been in plenty of boring meetings that I took away great information from. You can't be immature about things like this. I'm sure that a meeting with his BEST BUD JAY Z is gonna be FAR more fun than the Knicks crew of low energy guys. JAY Z is a big advantage for NJ. They could get his direct info into exactly what Lebron wanted to hear.

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67770/20100702/knicks_deny_theyre_out_of_lebron_hunt_suggest_ulterior_motives/

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports went on the air with Michael Kay on ESPN Radio to discuss points he made in a story Wojnarowski published Friday.

In that story, Wojnarowski wrote that the Knicks had been virtually eliminated from the race to sign LeBron James and that he and his camp were unimpressed with New York's presentation.

Shortly after the segment with Wojnarowski, a representative of the Knicks called Kay to refute the Wojnarowski story and the claims made by his sources. Further the Knicks suggested that someone may be attempting to undermine their chances to sign James. The team insisted that its presentation to James on Thursday was successful and apparently well received.

There have been rumblings in recent days that those closest to James are concerned about him playing for the Knicks and what implications there might be for the power balance around the superstar. There have been some indications that Maverick Carter, James' closest friend, is opposed to a move to the Knicks.

However, it is unclear who Wojnarowski is referring to since he cites only "sources" but does not indicate their position in relation to James or their particular knowledge of James' reactions to the presentations he received.

Hmm... Houston said LBJ had little feedback. Interviews that go on too long that way are seldom a good thing.

Yikes. There's so many rumors going back and forth, it's tough to know what to believe. I hope this one is false. I don't know what to think anymore. Just a few more days and then we'll have our answers.

I do think there's a propaganda machine coming from somewhere that is repeatedly feeding agenda-driven information, which may or may not be accurate.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You're not a poker player, I expect.

Why show your hand?

How is "feedback" defined by Houston, by the way. For all we know James might have asked questions but gave no "feedback" as far as comments on the merits of what the Knicks presented to him. Did folks expect James to say "jolly good show, my good Knicks people- give me my pen now- I have decided!"

I'm older than most of you guys, and remember when U.S. intelligence experts used to analyze each word of a Soviet leader, or the significance of where each Soviet figure was standing in a video or a photo, and who was in or out of favor. I'm starting to get flashbacks.

Thing are starting to get a bit crazy.
