Brian Windhorst of The Plain Dealer reports that LeBron James was more impressed with the presentation from the Nets than he was with the presentation from the Knicks.

Both teams met with James on Thursday, the first official day of this year's NBA free agency.

"Here's what I hear from yesterday: LeBron interested in Nets pitch but not so much NY. NY trying at moment to secure Amare' to help cause," Windhorst wrote on his Twitter page.

which we're discussing in the amar'e thread.

windhorst also says he has no idea where lebron is this morning - so that's how plugged in he is.

And if he reported that LeBron James was more impressed with New York than New Jersey, you wouldn't post it.

We'll see what happens on Monday. I'm pretty sure Donnie Walsh and co. did the best they could. Now if LeBron wasn't impressed and didn't like the idea of making a billion or playing in the Mecca, there is nothing we can do about it.
