Mike Miller has been offered a five-year, $30M contract by the Lakers, according to a report from Jeff Goodman.

Miller expects to be recruited by LeBron James and Dwyane Wade wherever they end up.

The Lakers have set a deadline of tonight to accept their offer.

Miller would be a nice addition to that team.

... but it's not like they wouldn't take him a week from now at that same price.

Exactly what they need to be even scarier, a true knock down shooter. Thats what he is and thats all they need from him. If they get him, its a great fit. Probably the best pure shooter Kobe has ever played with (not including Glen Rice, because he really wasn't in his prime with LA)

I haven't check in awhile but how in the world can the Lakers have so many players making so much money under contract?

Aren't Kobe, Gasol, Bynum and Odom making significant money and throw in Artest to boot.

wait, didn't the Lakers sign Artest to the MLE last year? Or was that a S&T for Ariza?

I guess Morrison is coming off but they still have Farmar. Hmm.. I guess they aren't over the hard cap and can still hand out MLEs.

What hard cap? Teams can have either an MLE or cap room every year, just not both. I think the LLE is only once every other year.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

They aren't keeping Farmar. Knicks are gonna take a look at him.

I'm talking about that luxury cap where the team gets penalize like the Knicks were getting hit on. What number is that?

They haven't even made decision on Fisher yet and they are going let Farmar go? They didn't pick up his option?
