A. Poor scouting in the draft
-There was a lot of good talent in last years draft especially at the point guard position calling his scouts out midway through the year was really troubling

B. Not signing David Lee last season
-When Drew Gooden is getting close to 7 million and Darko is getting a mid-level deal it's embarrassing that we didn't lock Lee up at a reasonable 9 million deal last summer. Now we are going to lose an All-Star power forward that gets better every year for nothing.

C. Trades
-He always gives away value early, I know Ernie hates the Knicks but Curry's contract would be very enticing mid way through the year as would a draft pick, switching picks and a lottery pick. Walsh should have waited and then moved Hill to a team like Minnesota. There are nice packages out there especially if you look at clubs looking to rebuild.

-Larry Hughes big mistake trading Tim Thomas for him at the end of last year. Would have made a lot more sense for him to expire and not put the coach in a position with veteran babys

That Houston deal is really going to come back to haunt the time. For someone that has been in the business so long it really looks like his best days are behind him. I'm hoping for a miracle, but we are still getting trashed around the league and if the Nets get Lebron basketball is a thing of the past in the garden

1) I wanted to dump JJ's contract and was willing to give up draft picks to do so.
2) I wanted to trade for Sergio Rodriguez
3) I loved the idea of moving Crawford, and I thought he got a steal in Harrington.
4) I loved the idea of trading ZBO, and althought I thought we might be able to get more out of it, I thought it was a reasonable deal.
5) I loved the D'antoni signing (still do)
6) I loved the John Gabriel signing
7) I was for the Tracy McGrady trade in the hope that he could be an asset this year in a S&T. I doubt that now, but we will see.
8) I didn't want to sign Lee for any contract that would add salary this year.
9) I love the Jerome Jordan trade. I don't know anything about Rautins or Fields, but I'd like to see them in Summer League before I have a fit.

Only thing they didn't do that I wanted was move up and get Stephen Curry. If Wilson Chandler really was enough to get the number 5 pick, then they missed that one, but I don't know if that is true.

Yeah basically. It's a black or white, on or off situation. I don't think this will end up with the team being shut out, but there's got to be a certain drive to make sure that every effort is made and I think they will.

Who doesn't think that DW has the experience to understand what needs to be done in this situation. I mean really!?! The guy has built teams before and i'm sure that he asked the right questions and knows what it's gonna take to close the deal. Question is can he get it done? We'll see.

He didn't understand that Lee was an improving force and would command 13-14 million in free agency. He waited when he could have been signed two years ago and as a result we are losing an all-star for no value. If you don't think the kid is tradable your are mistaken.

The Houston deal was horrible. We got jobbed. They won the deal from the moment we gave them Hill there was no need to include draft picks. It's 10 million in salary to acquire a lottery pick.

Had we signed lee it's probable that we could have moved him with JJ. Especially to a team like Washington. He hasn't been aggressive enough building this team and getting on the same page with the coach who has done serious harm by not playing douglas, hill and even moving towards a more defensive approach.

Amare isn't that much better than lee lets be honest. The kid doesn't have Nash and would have been 7 million cheaper if Walsh really did his homework

Now, this is just my opinion, but then again who else's would it be? Here's my take on what goes on:

Honestly though Walsh isn't making many decisions. He's an advisor. John Gabriel orchestrated the tearing down of this roster. Walsh probably laid out his idea and then stepped back and let the other men work.

There are numerous situations we have witnessed that can collaborate this. Such as he had no idea he traded for Chris Wilcox. All he knew is we made a trade. He did that with another trade but I forget who.

Remember: The final 4-5 years in Indy, Walsh was merely an advisor.

He's a public speaker. He's good with people. He is good at managing. But he's not doing the dirty work and probably hasn't for 7-8 years now in his career.

He'll talk to the media, he'll take the heat, and it doesn't bother him. He'll manage his team, tell them what he thinks should be done, then let them do their work and sign off on it.

He was brought in to clean up the front office mess and he did that. He was brought in to put together a team to clean up the roster and he did that. Now he just sits back and advises. He's a teacher.

The hate for him is unfounded as it's always been. He's a brilliant basketball mind and respected throughout the entire NBA. Only the fans seem to think otherwise of him.

Perhaps these fans were content with a 146M dollar payroll, anal rape fights in the showers, blacklisting of the media, fights on the court, fights in the huddle, fancy and-1 dribbling with 1-11FG nights while losing by 52, gigantic contracts to marginal talent, interns getting banged and harrassed, and on and on down the list. By now we'd have a 200M payroll and our team would be loaded with even more crappy players like Magette and over the hill like Baron Davis (Isiah's prototypical PF for certain).

I can't believe when I read fans bash Walsh. I can't believe when fans lament trading the garbage we did. I can't believe fans were content with 30 win seasons and a coaching carousel. I can't believe fans loved the **** stain our franchise became. I guess these fans were more entertained by the fights, arguments, lawsuits, and crossovers, and dribbling off the feet. I guess losing and being an utter joke of a franchise was gansta to you guys or something.

Well, not this fan. Walsh and his team may not build a title team but they damn sure will do a whole lot better than Layden or Isiah did.

Why the hate? Why the unfounded statements? Walsh is a rookie GM? lol.... come'on now. Calm down and let the Knicks do their work. Come opening night? Then you can complain.
