so, to recap, wolves spent $33M on Darko and Nikola Pekovic. and now they need to trade Al Jefferson because of this.

and they no longer have cap room to sign rudy gay.

He was the first one to get a ring from the 03 draft class and now the first one to sign a big deal in the summer 2010. As usual, all the other guys in that class will attempt to follow in his footsteps

AND he is looking at Lee as a possible FA signing, which will devalue Love for a potential trade, since I can't see Love and Lee existing together on the same court in most game situations.

I suggest some of you take a look at what other centers are making around the league. Kahn got Milicic for less than the MLE.

I don't think they need Lee anymore....Between Lee and Love, who do you move to the bench? They are seriously redundant players on the same team. Neither wants to play center either. Lee could play center here.

Darko played well for the Wolves and he is still very young. That isn't a huge commitment. It is apparent that Jefferson is going to be traded. It will be interesting to see if the Knicks try to get him. I don't think he fits with what D'Antoni wants to do on offense but I think he is a talent that Walsh should consider.

i think best bet for the knicks if they actually want Gay is to have another team sign him to an offer sheet and then have the Grizz match - then they can trade him to the Knicks for Wilson Chandler.

i believe once an offer sheet is matched, the matching team can trade the player to any team but the one who tendered the offer sheet.

They maybe looking at Lee to play center next to Love. I know they are planning on running. I know Darko started for them but he only got about 25 minutes a game.
