"Can you imagine Lebron James and Amar’e in the pick and roll every night at MSG? Well, from what I’m hearing, half is already set.

Two sources with serious knowledge tell me that the reason the Knicks aren’t pressed to move in on Amar’e tonight is because they have “him in their back pockets.”

“He’s ready to come to NY to be paired with James and win,” a source said.

Is David Lee involved in a sign and trade? That I don’t know.

Which apparently is to say, Amar’e is ready to be a Knick if Lebron follows- or worst case Joe Johnson.

Sure, an Amar’e and Johnson combo is a strong plan B.
As I said on
The Wheel House, I think the team considers Carmelo Anthony as a plan B if they don’t use Lee in a sign and trade, but like Tony Parker, do they really have the assets?

We’ll see.

Again, this is about Lebron. If you paired him in D’Antoni’s offensive structure he’s challenge the Big O in terms of averaging a triple double.

The ball is, as it’s always been, in King James’ court, and seemingly if he passes on the opportunity to be the QB in NY it’s simply out of fear.

Stay tuned, again no one really knows…but the idea of Lebron and Amar’e in the pick and roll kicking out to open shooters…well, I think that would be a good start."

I definitely would not be surprised if Amare was all but locked up. Maybe Amare is the guy who best complements Lebron in terms of the big FA's in terms of offensive game.

If the Knicks could surround them with another really good shooter at 2G then I think you have a really good lineup. I think Toney Douglas can develop into a steady PG when you have a playmaker like Lebron in the lineup.

Well, apparently they are meeting with Mike Miller tonight...according to Berman...How would this all work out?

I'm not sure they have the room to offer Miller more than a vet minimum contract. If they are doing 2 maxes there is only an odd lot of cap space leftover and they don't have any exceptions since they were under the cap.

I would not give Amare the max but the bottom line is, if it ensured LeBron, id be willing to give Chris Duhon a max contract. I wouldn't care at that point, just as long as LeBron in the fold.

I think Amare would come to NY but I don't think he would commit to playing for D'Antoni again unless he knows Johnson or LeBron are there. I do think his most likely destination is NY if he leaves Phoenix.

Talk with suns have apparently broken down. He may really be headed out. Between him and Bosh we should get 1, the other will go to Miami.

i think a scenario where we get Amare in a sign & trade involving D Lee is the most possible out of all the other sign & trade scenarios out there right now for the Knicks... Lee & Nash have a good relationship & i can easily see Lee wanting to go play out there w/him... but i don't see Amare coming here by himself... if Joe Johnson signs then it's more likely.

Chris Broussard is saying that Amare may not get the max from anywhere.

If Joe Johnson is getting his from Hawks Amare will get a max deal for sure from some team.

Tommy Dee does not know a dam thing and he has no sources.

I also found it funny how many posters said Aware didn't complement Lebron when the deadline trade rumors were going around. Aware is rumored to the knicks and now they are a match. Lol

latest I heard a couple of hours ago was that Amare was staying in Phoenix
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

i think Lebron's gonna take a couple days to mull over his options & in that time the Knicks are gonna be scrambling to get 1 other bigname FA signed... who they sign will likely determine whether Lebron makes the Knicks a serious consideration or not.

i think if the Knicks can manage to get Amare landed in the next couple days, our chances of landing Lebron will go up exponentially.

I know I've beaten this up pretty heavily, but imagine if we could trade for Okafor and get one of these other bigs AND LeBron.

That's AT LEAST Douglas, LeBron, Gallo, Amare/Bosh, Okafor. That's pretty damn sweet. I would definitely be going heavily after Amare, especially if these Bosh to Miami rumors are serious.
