Zeke thinks he's Jerry west(hubie brown), by hiring an older coach in Lenny wilkens. LOL I love it though!!!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Lenny gets a thumbs down from me....I wasn't impressed with his Toronto coaching days. He and Chaney seem to be similar personalities.

I think lenny wilkens will be fine as head coach. Personally i think coaching is overrated in this league anyway. Whoever you hire isn't going to make or break your team. And it's not like this team is a bunch of hotheads who will run wilkens out of the gym. He'll be fine as the coach for a few years and then we'll be ready for someone else. I don't see this as big of a deal as a roster change by any means. Now it's time to make one more trade to improve the bench.

Look what Phil Jackson did in LA

Look what Larry Bird did with the Pacers

look what Larry Brown is doing in Detriot

Look what Adelman is doing in Sac

Your right Slack coaches like Lenny don't make a damn difference

I like Wilkens better than Fratello. He will play the style to his players. The players WILL listen to a Hall of Fame coach AND player! This is a good move, not great.

NY will win more than they lose now. Let's see. If they do, I hope those who still like Chaney will finally relent.

Wilkens brings credentials to this team. He is a legendary coach.

What suprises me about this hire, is that Wilkens has more Basketball knowlesge than IT. I am actually impressed that Isiah had enough fortitude to choose him

haha, you know you can't do that but anyway I am suprised also. i just remember here in Atlanta they ran him out of town but they blamed lenny for their inept management and a aging team. Lenny is a good coach....

Well I am gonna go ahead and give Lenny my vote of confidence. I am also going to say thank god it wasn't Fratello - he isnt a winner, he is a short man overcompensating.

Today is my birthday and it was great - Chaney got fired and we got a coach who knows how to win. I think his tenure in Toronto and Atlanta are overshadowed by the losses for sure - but those are 2 clubs who have never promoted a winning attitude. NYK is a different club and he is in a position where they WANT to win. Keep the changes coming Zeke and lets roll.

I thought that I could trust lenny but after listening to toronto radio I beg to differ. It's a reason why he wasn't coaching.
