I know they aren't building the team to win a Championship(the right way), but only to entertain, so I will bitch and complain all year.

50 wins and a team that's near the top of the East and at the least a 2nd round team. If Lebron is here nothing short of ECF's would be acceptable. I lower it a bit without him. If you're gonna do all this you have to come out of it with a winning team and deep playoff run in year one. With Lebron I would have to say that ECF was necessary to really please the fans and Lebron would probably only be happy with a trip to the finals.

I agree...I think 50 wins is about right considering FAs are about winning now. If they dont win 50 because of a slow start or something I would expect them to win a playoff round.

given that they dealt the picks, they should improve next year to around 500. a succesful offseason would be getting lebron, but along the same lines i think it would be a success if they didn't overpay for anybody.

I would hazard to guess there is more than a good chance that you would be doing this even if we landed Wade, James, and Bosh.
After 10 yrs of dysfunction , I'm waiting to find hope again for our beloved knicks. This is more that some of us can bare.

Are you sure your expectations aren't a little too high? Larry Brown was allowed to get 23 wins. I don't think we should hold our guys any higher than that. Maybe even lower.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You're right. 20 is the magic number.

20 makes me a little uneasy. What if Eddy Curry stubs his toe? I'm going with 18 wins.
