If you were an owner who was losing his shirt on his NBA team and wanted a way to cut payroll without the fans completely ditching the team, what would you do?
If it were me, I might start trading players for nothing in return and shout from the rooftops that I'm doing it for a shot at signing a key free agent.
Just sayin'... The NBA has brought down salaries by a wide margin just because of the 2010 guys, and now the owners in Chicago, LA, New Jersey and Miami are pushing even further.
A couple of teams are going to end up being contenders based on incoming talent. A couple of teams are going to end up being big financial winners based on having zilch for guaranteed salaries next year.

Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
