My understanding was the deal was contingent on Maggette passing his physical yesterday. Has anyone heard anything?

Yeah, good question...Haven't heard anything. I'm curious myself...Knowing our luck, it was probably recinded for some reason...

He is on the summmer league roster but I think some trades can't go through until 7/8 because of cap reasons.

The Maggette deal can't go through until July 8, and after passing physical, Knicks will get Jordan.

Where did you read that?

The Warriors introduced guard Charlie Bell and center Dan Gadzuric to the local media Monday. Both were acquired last week from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for forward Corey Maggette.

Warriors general manager Larry Riley said he made the trade in part because of the veteran experience they bring to the Warriors' roster. Both players, who saw limited minutes with the Bucks last season, said they were happy to oblige the Warriors.
"We can come and help the young guys out," Bell said, "try to bring some stability to the locker room and be a great teammate."
Bell looks to be the backup to starting point guard Stephen Curry. Bell said he had no problem aiding in the development of Curry and was sure he could help Curry on the defensive end.

"I like to pride myself on the defensive end. That's my niche," said Bell, who addressed youths at the Warriors basketball camp, going on concurrently at the team's downtown facility. "I'm going to try to help him out in that aspect, get some stops so he can go down and score 30, 40 points."

Gadzuric said he was excited about coming to the Warriors, even though he is the third center on the depth chart. He said he invites the competition and looks forward to putting himself "back on the map."

"I can only control what I can do," Gadzuric said. "Running the floor. Blocking shots, Providing great energy. ... Stay positive and keep working hard.

That's all I can do."
The deal is technically not done until the players pass their physicals. Bell and Gadzuric took their physicals Monday at the team's downtown facility, while Maggette took his physical in Milwaukee. Results are expected today.

Team sources confirmed guards Anthony Morrow and C.J. Watson were both extended qualifying offers by the Warriors, making them restricted free agents-to-be. The Warriors will have the right to match any offer sheet they sign with another team, even if it means going over the salary cap.
Morrow's qualifying offer was for $1.03 million, which means that would be his salary for the 2010-11 season if he doesn't land a new contract with the Warriors or another team. Watson's qualifying offer was for $1.25 million.

The Warriors may not be as adamant about retaining Watson as they were last season. The emergence of Curry and the addition of Bell leave little need for Watson, especially considering guard Monta Ellis' expected minutes at point guard.

The free agency period begins Wednesday at 9:01 p.m. A moratorium on signing goes into effect immediately, giving time for the league to figure out the salary cap and the like. But teams are allowed to negotiate and reach agreements until the moratorium ends, which is expected to be around July 8.
Forward Anthony Tolliver and center Chris Hunter were not tendered qualifying offers by the Warriors. They will become unrestricted free agents on Wednesday. With three power forwards and four centers on the roster, Golden State doesn't have a roster spot for either of them barring a trade.

if thats true Martin than I think this was as good a draft as you could ask for (minus Briggs drama about Whiteside)

Knicks get a couple of 4 year wings from winning programs who have great skill sets and can fill out the bottom of the rotation right away. Especially after Douglas I'm optimistic in Walsh's ablility to scout these guys. If they get a legit big in Jerome (marv needs a guy named to Jerome to be interested in the Knicks) then we did pretty good

haven't heard from Marv in a few days. I am assuming he is OD'ing on Viagra and fruity drinks somewhere after hearing Jerome is back in town.

Maybe we haven't heard from him because Marv was part of the trade.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
