Chicago DOES NOT have enough room for 2 MAX players! WTH is wrong with these idiots? Can't do they simple math? A MAX contract is 30% of the Cap. The Cap is $56.1M so a MAX contract is $16.8M. Two MAX contracts are $33.6M. Chicago only has $30M in cap room. So they only have enough room for 1 MAX player and another for $13.2M. And Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire are not leaving money on the table. This REALLY pisses me off!!

Here's what I don't get: Why does espn say that Miami has $43M in cap space? Wouldn't Wade have a hold of at least $16 (56-16=40)?

All they have to do is trade James Johnson for a future 2nd round pick. You're in denial if you're making a big stink over $3 million. The Bulls will get that $3 million if need be.

And Miami does not have room for 3 MAX players. All those idiots at ESPN should be fired. Biggest free agency in history and they are giving false information.

The media doesn't like the Knicks man. How many times do they say oh the Knicks are terrible why would Lebron want to go there , leaving out the fact that Lebron can bring another superstar with him . It pisses me off 2 when they talk about the Nets having a better team and core than the Knicks, really? really the same NJ Nets who almost broke the NBA record for worst record ever!

Not quite.

Luol Deng	$11.35
Derrick Rose $5.56
Joakim Noah $3.10
James Johnson $1.70
Taj Gibson $1.10
Player Holds(7) $3.325
-------------------------
Total: $26.14
After 1 max: $13.17 <--- this is what they can offer second free agent

Without James JOhnson:

Luol Deng $11.35
Derrick Rose $5.56
Joakim Noah $3.10
Taj Gibson $1.10
Player Holds(8) $3.80
-------------------------
Total: $24.91
After 1 max: $14.39 <--- this is what they can offer second free agent

yeah, it's infuriating that ESPN is acting like the Bulls can sign two max players and then doesn't even mention the knicks. par for the course, i guess.

i have a feeling the Bulls get Lebron and then get Joe Johnson for around $13-14M.

I think the Knicks still have a chance at Bosh, but Miami has to be the favorite there.

this is certainly a possibility, but it doesn't really make sense from a player chemistry perspective. All 3 guys - LeBron, JJ, Rose - like the ball in their hands and Luol Deng is a SF, right? Plus, they would be mighty thin up front.

True.

I wonder if they try to bring back Tyson Chandler instead?

Though, if Cleveland accepts Luol Deng straight-up in a S&T for Bron, obviously the floodgates open and Chicago would have $22-24M in cap room AFTER signing Bron.

Absolutely. But CLE would have to agree to the trade... would they demand more back?

I think Gibson, Johnson, and Deng Package together could bring back a player or 2 that would allow them to get under the cap for the 2nd max deal. What team with cap space would NOT take those 3 guys for nothing.

The only players Chicago actually needs to keep are Rose and Noah.

if i'm cleveland, and chicago is stealing lebron james, i tell chicago to go F themselves... i have no idea how they'd react though. deng doesn't have a great contract... who knows?

Deng is gonna be harder to trade than Eddie Curry will. Dude is oft injured and has 4 more years at $11.3M and increases by $1M a year.

though talking to several Bulls fans i know - they believe the management has made signing joe johnson a priority on july 1. probably to go along with lebron? i guess?

so who knows? maybe maverick carter will be named the new bulls GM. who the heck can say.

I think you are exaggerating. Deng is overpaid but Eddy Curry is USELESS. If they toss in Gibson and Johnson the deal becomes a no brainer for a GM.

I could see Johnson being OK with becoming a Ray Allen type player, but I think that Rose and LeBron need the ball to develop the kind of "flow" in their game which allows them to reach their optimum level of play. Noah and Gibson would have a good time playing complimentary roles, though.

A team of Wade, James, and Bosh would have similar chemistry issues, I think.

At least there's some brief history where Johnson was able to play catch and shoot on the Suns, but Rose IMO isn't really that kind of guy. His game is so predicated on those ISO drives to the basket. i just don't like the chemistry for a PG that isn't really a pure point and a Point Forward like Lebron. Someone will be standing round feeling uncomfortable.

Did you guys catch it last night when JVG was speaking about LeBron. He said I believe Heat, Bulls, whatever. Never said Knicks. ESPN is working hard to keep LeBron away from NY. LeBron doesn't need NY but ESPN needs NY. How many viewers tune into Sports Center to catch the latest LeBron highlights from NY there are a lot. The thing with NY is that it has its own entity that could leave ESPN on the out looking in. There are so many networks in NY that bring highlights to views in the area that there is no need to watch ESPN. With MSG the Knicks are available all over the US as you can pretty much get it everywhere in the US you have YES and SNY also. They know this and they need to keep LeBron exclusive so we keep tuning in to see his highlights on ESPN. If you listen to radio you probably listen to WFAN and not 1050 espn its just the example of NY not needing ESPN, WFAN regularly kicks ESPN's butt it is not even a competition. The funny thing is that they are trying to convince LeBron not to come to NY with articles that continuously hit NY below the belt.
