At this point I'm expecting a 3 yr deal with Chicago. Depending on if they win big or not I see him jumping ship to Brooklyn when the 3 yr deal is up.

No "other" option? No love for the LA Clippers, NJ Nets, etc...?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I think he pusses out and returns to Clev.

Then does Brooklyn with Jay-Z and the Russian.

The russian is not stupid.

My hope is he signs with the knicks.

At this point I'm almost hoping that we don't sign him but somehow pull off a coup of other signings
that puts together an awesome team that denies Lebron of a championship for years to come.

Still hoping somehow we manage to get Wade. I know that's a pipedream, but hey, I'm a Knick fan = I'm in denial.

Chicago checklist:

Defense Oriented coach - Check
Defensive Center - Check
Stud PG - Check
Cap space - Check

The Chicago team has made the playoffs WITHOUT Lebron 2 yrs in a row. So I'd say their is a pretty high chance of them owning the East with Lebron.

who spreads the floor to open the lanes to basket for Rose, etc?

Cap space is a semi check, they have room for 1.85 max's right now when/if the Hinnrich deal goes down.

Anybody that thinks LeBron is taking a three year deal doesn't remember that their is going to be a lockout next Summer, and contracts are being threatened to be shortened significantly. There is no shot in hell that LeBron passes on this money. He's getting his full 5 years, or 6 if he stays with Cleveland.

Chicago could give away Johnson and Gibson IF they have too.

If you factor in them possibly working out a S&T with Toronto where they absorb Bosh and take Hedo off their hands then this is a non-issue.

If you sign Lebron first then S&T for Bosh then the 125% rule comes into place.

Speculative 3-way based on rumors:

Deal would have to happen in 2 parts

Part1:
Bosh and Hedo for Deng and trade exemption

Part2:
Deng to Orlando
Gortat and Pietrus to Toronto

He could sign a 5 year deal with the last 2 years as player options like Eddy Curry did.

Yeah that's fine. However, there's no shot he's taking a deal that stops after year 3 though.
