It does seem to be somewhat real. I would do it if , as Briggs suggested, we get the 45th pick. However, the 1st round pick goes on our cap space while the second rounders don't.

BY FRANK ISOLAHours before the start of the NBA Draft the Knicks continue to try and trade into the first round.
The Wolves are willing to trade the No. 23 pick but the Knicks feel the price is too high: $3 million plus both of the Knicks second round picks, Nos. 38 and 39. If a deal can be worked out it appears as if the Knicks will select Iowa State forward Craig Brackins, who could go anywhere from 18 to 26.
If the Knicks keep their two second round picks, two names to watch are Maryland guard Greivis Vasquez and Duke center Brian Zoubek.
Of course, none of this will really matter by July 1.
