I am anxious as hell. This is the first time I've been excited to be a Knicks since April 22, 2001, or right before Camby's mother and sisters were taken hostage.

I don't know what to do with myself... All I do is stare at the newswire. I have no idea what will happen but I do feel that next season i will actually watch competitive basketball again.

The draft? UFA? I'm going nuts. I'm a LeBroptomist, but even if that proves incorrect, there should actually be a decent team architecture in place (for once).

not to unnecessarialy throw cold water on your hope. I agree that the prospect of landing marquee free agents and the potential to fundamentally alter the direction of the knicks gives ever fan legitmate cause for hope, if things don't end up well, I think we'll know pretty soon and the worse case scenario might be very disheartening to face.

I think hope potentially lasts through mid July, with the potential to be replaced by exhileration, or loathing.

Look up my friend. The stars are aligning for you as we speak.

well, I'm not super wealthy, but I am such a LeBroptimist that I bought $5,100 in MSG stock today. Chris Paul tonight, and LBJ and Bosh soon in orange and blue

pass the Kool Aid broskis

i have hope... which also feels like a deep fear in the pit of my stomach. it reminds of heading into a big playoffs game against the pacers or heat or something...

I'm a pragmatic "pessoptimist.” My optimism is always tempered by a strong dose of pessimism. If you expect the worst while hoping for the best you can never be disappointed, but you can be surprised and delighted by even the most insignificant positive development.

I will therefore be going into this draft expecting us to come away with only our 38/39 #2s. I will furthermore expect that the players I want us to get will already have been taken.

I will not come away from this draft disappointed.

your pessimism doesn't quite match up to our recent history.

You should instead be fearing that the two picks, Chandler and Curry will be traded away in return for OK4 or perhaps Kenyon Martin or Gilbert Arenas.

I'm not banking on fireworks tonight. If Walsh has a chance to jump on something he will, but I suspect it will be ho-hum. I do expect us to draft a couple rotation guys. Not stars, but guys who can come in and play pretty quickly like Douglas did last year.

if we can get any two of the group of Hobson, Armon Johnson, Brackins, Jerome Jordan i will be ecstatic.

None of that is going to happen. Curry may go so we can move up to get Brackins, but not if we take back a garbage contract. Chandler may go, but only after we lock up Lebron for a few years. Otherwise, Chandler will continue his development with us.

I haven't felt this hopeful since we drafted Maciek Lampe in the 2nd round.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

or, to go further, landing a real, franchise PG in a blockbuster trade, scoring combo guard with oodles of talent or got our franchise center in a similar deal?

So many false hopes.

Hopefully you won't go so nuts that you need a "lebrotomy".

Miami can now offer:

DWade as a teammate.
No state income tax
Awesome weather
Much friendlier Media environment

Chicago:

Much better young core: Rose, Noah
Tom Thibodeau

NY:

D'Antoni
Everything that is NY
Gallo

My expectations are lowwwwwwwwwwww : Maybe Rudy Gay
