The Grizzlies and Timberwolves are close to swapping first-round picks, a source has told ESPN.com's Andy Katz.

Memphis would send their 25th and 28th picks to Minnesota for the 16th selection.

if your talking about our chances to aquire an extra pick(s) I would say this is good for us. Minn has 8 players under contract. Grizz need good players because nobody wants to play there and are in risk of losing Gay to a big offer, or possibly overpaying for him.

Minn can sell those picks off for $3mm each.

I think its pretty likely you will see Kahn sell those two late first rounders for $3mm each and trade down into the 2nd round. Maybe we buy them!

Right now Twolves have 4th, 16th, 23rd, 45th, 56th picks. WOW. They had 5 last year too.

I wonder if they'll deal with the 76ers... I've been reading they don't want Evan Turner because they view Andre Iguodala similarly. That would make sense to trade down then, and grab a big. The Wolves could get Evan Turner and pair him with Rubio, because they really don't need a big.

Just speculative food for thought.

from RealGM:
The Heat are willing to sell the 18th pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, according to league sources.

"They want to sell it to clear cap space," one Western Conference executive told Yahoo! Sports.

I hope we can get #18 from Miami.

Why does Minny have to trade those picks when they can use it on a euro player and let him sit in Europe for 3 years?

Miami is a constant Knick hatting team. In ordinary times Idon't see them selling us a pick. That we might be contending for the same FA's is a for sure, no sale.

Unfortunately, there isn't a point guard to reach for at number 4. But it still isn't out of the realm of possibility to see them pick Avery Bradley at 16, Eric Bledsoe at 23, Greivous Vasquez at 45 and Jon Scheyer at 56.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
