The dude stepped up in the biggest moment! Ron not just stepped up in the playoffs, but in the big game of life.

No headaches, no antics, no stupidity.......He stepped up and like a "tru warrior" not just played ball but he mentally stepped and fulfilled his potential. No fights, no disractions, just played tough as nails basketball and got his team by Durant and Pierce when he needed to.

The post game comments were not about him. It was out to his neighborhood, his family, his team, and his docter.

Ron grew up, chased his demons off the court and manned up!!!!!

Too many times we hear players leave so much humanity behind when they wallow in egocentric glory of a victory.

Thank you Ron for sharing YOUR championship with all of us!!!!!!

He totally saved himself with that gm 7 because if he did not play well he would have been roasted forever for having an absolutely brutal series. He was terrible all series. Give him credit for his defense on Pierce at times but on the offensive end he was complete garbage, couldn't make FTs either. For most of this series Boston was flat out giving him shots, flat out daring LA to pass him the ball and force him to shoot, leaving him alone. He probably saw more uncontested jumpers in this series than ive ever seen a player have in a finals

Its funny how one game changes things though. When people look back years from now they won't remember how absolutely awful he was before game 7, but they'll remember game 7. Compare that to Starks, who really had a good series in 94 in the first 6 games, almost single-handedly brought us back in game 6 hitting all sorts of clutch shots in the 2nd half, but all anyone thinks about with those finals is him struggling game 7

What I remember is that he should have been taken out and not allowed the chance to do what he did.

Ray Allen's 3/14 was similar to what Starks did in that game 7. Welcome to the club.

I rewatched that game very recently (within the last month). And while I will always put some blame on Riley, Starks was way over-aggressive in that 4th quarter. He was just jacking shots up, not letting the game come to him at all. He started that 4th quarter like 1 for 8, and for some reason in the 4th quarter tried to go into takeover mode and jacked it up on every touch. Marv was even basically begging the guy to stop shooting. The only bucket he hit in that 4th quarter was on an offensive rebound putback layup.

In games 4-5-6 in that series though, Starks had a double digit scoring 4th quarter in each game, and with the way he was going in game 6, if Hakeem does not block that 3, the NBA might remember Starks 2nd half as one of the more memorable moments in league history, bringing us back the way he did all half long with clutch shot after clutch shot
