BAD NEWS.JUST SAW IT ON ESPNEWS.CAN WE CALL CAMBY THE TELFON DON 2001 AS HIS NEW NAME!!!!WONDER WHAT LADEN HAS UP HIS GM CHAIR THIS TIME,BESIDES STANDING PAT TELLING US WE ARE A GOOD TEAM

I think 5 games is really pushing it. I expect him to miss two at the most.

It's official...nba.com reports Camby will be placed on the injured list and will miss at least the first 5 games.

I'm unhappy Marcus Camby will miss 5 games, but it's better to miss those games and get 100 percent rather then play at 50 percent the whole season. Our first 5 games are against Washington, Charlotte, Minnesota, Cleveland, and Chicago so if we can hold at least 3-2 record in those first 5 games then we should be in good shape when Camby returns.

Frankly we could consider ourselves lucky if it's only 5 games. If you see which NBA players suffered from it and the road to 100%health is a long one. I'm counting on a month or so, maybe the allstar break if we get unlucky. He should go to canada for that shockwave treatment if things don't get any better soon.

I agree with you, I think that he shouldn't come back before it is 100% healed cuz otherwise chances are Camby will make it worse.

I think we should pull a Philly and trade his @$$ now that he's injured for a dominant player - like what Larry Brown did with Theo Ratliff for Mutumbo... some team out there is rebuilding and wants a young Center, while giving away their old guy... maybe we could get David Robinson for Camby? He'd be the Center that everyone in NY is practically BEGGING for.

I would yell at anyone else who posted this trade, but everyone seems to want a crappy center like Foyle or Dampier, they need to realize that we need to give up quality to get quality... SA would at least have the Center spot sured up for a while, since Robinson's contract is only for 2 years. Plus, he comes off our cap after that. I'm thinkin' we trade Camby+Ward+TravisKnight+any other trash we have stashed on our roster for David Robinson and one of SA's young PG's.
