It just means that a team that didn't even win a title beat the team with the best record in the NBA for the 2nd straight season (Orlando last year and Boston this year). So I guess it helps a little.

I think the only team in the west that might sign one of the big 4 is Houston and I don't think LBJ is even considering Houston. If Bosh is all about championships, maybe he doesn't take that extra year and extra money to be a part of the Rockets. However, if Yao is healthy I think the Rockets have as good a roster or better than any team that might try to acquire him.

What does Kobe and the Lakers winning a title have anything to do with Lebron let alone him signing with the Knicks? Lebron was in the playoffs too and his team finished with the best record in the NBA.

I'm going with Solace type of answer.

Might mean that to reach the promised land more quickly, he will sign with a team that is "blessed" with a better roster than the Knicks presently have.

does me scratching my ass at exactly 12:33am give us an advantage?

What happened to the old fashion FA signing? You know where the guy signed somewhere because he wanted to. What's up with all these outside issues being given to what is basically a man and his family choosing what's best for them. But I have to admit thinking about nyk scratching his ass in the waking hour may impact my decision somewhat.

Kobe winning doesn't hurt/help.... what helps is Boston and LA playing a game 7. There's just a different feel tot he season when storied franchises play the most meaningful game of the season. Big difference between this and when San Antonio plays New Jersey

it is indifferent. i think lebron has two choices already and it deosnt matter what kobe does that will affect him. he knows wherever he goes, it will build his legacy for good or bad for a long time.

It definitely helps us as I now don't think Lebron will sign with Cleveland. He sees what it takes to win a championship....an entire team playing well together. Cleveland won't have the supporting cast next year.

For us, it means we have to have a second max player to join Lebron if he does come to the Knicks. Also, someone up front who can defend the paint. If we do that, chances are now better that he signs here.

If anything, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers winning last night helped our chances. I hope LeBron James watched and saw what a Pau Gasol type of player can do for him. Remember, we're the ONLY team who can offer him a chance to play with Chris Bosh.

Pau > Bosh but Lebron definitely realizes he needs another skilled player with him to win.

Do you mean Miami if Wade leaves or is renounced?

Miami can dump Beasley for a 2nd rd pick and be right there.

The NETS can make some trades and be right there.

Chicago can s-n-t with Toronto for Bosh, then go sign LeBron

A lot can happen between now and July 8th.

LeBron James is not going to Miami or New Jersey. They are not options. And Toronto isn't going to accept Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich for Chris Bosh.

Bosh could sign with Miami to play with Wade (assuming Wade stays) and that would hurt us in getting Lebron.
