I tell you it would not surprise me if guys like Foote and Zoubek go in the 40 above some of these other guys. Foote is the tallest guy in the draft runs the floor and is a good passer. You cant teach being 7-1. If I had to guess the 4 guys the Knicks want in on I would say Hobson Foote Brackins Torrance

I know that Torrance was not able to make it to the first tryout- has he actually worked out for us?

I think this is a pretty decent guess as to what we may want.

Don't know enough about Hobson, other than the fact that he is a lefty and a decent all around player. If you look at the 4 guys you listed, I would say that Hobson, Brackins, and Torrance are all decent all-around player- none of whom will stun you with athleticism, and I believe that Foote is, or will become, a very serviceable 15-20 minute big man.

I also think that we might sign Gallon if he is not drafted, and make him a project, but who knows how his workouts with other teams have been.

I also can see the Knicks looking at Wittman for a SL tryout, because that would be the only reason they are working him out today. Good shooter, smart, basketball pedigree- limited upside, but he might be worth a look, and you can't go wrong signing him up for SL.

Good call on Ryan Wittman Pal -- another guy I'm interested in for SL if he goes undrafted...He's got legit NBA SG/SF size and he can really shoot it (he's been a stellar shooter for years at Cornell).

Fresh meat for MDA to suck the joy of life from?

Zoubak looked good in the finals. His injury habit is of concern.

We knew about his weight before we worked him out.

Pure project. Don't know if they saw anything in him when he worked out for us- the only thing I read was that he "impressed." Of course they might have brought him in with Foote becasue they just wanted to see Foote bang against a 300 lb. monster. I have had this kind of project on my own wrestling team, and seen them on other teams. I have a kid who has lost about 40 lbs in 1.5 years- and hopefully he will be able to compete next year.

Gallon is only 19, and you can give him a few years to develop. At 260 lbs, his athleticism numbers will have to improve (terrible in the combine, if I remember correctly) and he will be able to run the floor. Play him in the DL, give him some time to shape up, and dump him if he remains a butterball. You drop him, if he doesn't drop it.

Better upside than many, but he has to prove that he will put in the effort to drop the pounds.

I will admit that I could see him (Gallon) as being one of those "bad" rookies in a system that calls for endurance if he does not get serious about his weight, and I keep thinking about Sweetney and Oliver Miller when I think of Gallon.
