used to love this guy. Thought of him as the heart and soul of the Knicks...the Oak Tree that supported the garden. Now the guy is coming off like a bitter tool, telling LeBron (if asked) not to sign with NY. Saying Pat should have taken more brunt for their not winning (pat seemed to take most of the brunt imo) and even criticizing Rileys coaching at the time.
Sure he should have pulled Starks for the old sharpshooter we had on the bench (forget his name) but, thats hindsight.
Oak a few years ago started making appearances at the garden and was angling for a coaching or front office position and had nothing bad to say then.
I guarantee that Oaks whole beef is that LJ is currently part of the Knicks org while he is not.
Also, despite how great he and Pat were for NY, once their careers were over, they didn't really show any interest in NY or at least in the Knicks. Before getting the Orlando gig, Pat was a rarity at the Garden and Oak even more so. They didn't come across as BLEEDING blue and orange like Starks.
John Starks wore that Jersey like he was Kal-El and it his family crest. LJ had some of the biggest moments in Knick non championship years.
Oak put it all on the line during the games but, once the game was over, so to (imo) so did the NY state of mind
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
