The NY Knicks our team our pride may not get LBJ and we know D.Wade doesnt want to come here
these guys dont need the money $$$.

However I was shocked that fan-favorite Charles Oakley again made damaging but true comments to the media
advising Lebron NOT to come to NewYork since Oakley maintains he was treated very bad by the organization.

OAKman speaks again Part 2
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/oakley_to_lebron_don_come_to_knicks_XIo6jcC3VpRiAoUV1MIeJM?CMP=OTC-rss&FEEDNAME=
Also we know what happen to Pat Ewing and despite Ewing demands for trade then and some healing after Patrick
Ewing night in NY we know that Ewing was practically exiled out of NY in a lopsided deal which continues to this
date set our Knick Organization back few decades. We all knew Pat Ewing bled true knick blue as much as Frazier
Bradley or Reed and any Knick legends whom called the garden floor home for many years.

Now we see the nobody Nate Robinson whom I like and admired his overcoming his shortcomings!

Nevertheless David Lee made himself marketable, I'll give MDA a pinch of credit no more for Lee's development
and Lee has kept himself quiet and seem to say right things in the public.

But watch David Lee leave the Knicks organization for free what Knicks brass lose out the July 1 FA week and
Lee be gone for nothing. Another Dis' to a soon to be ex-knick.

Its ashame, FA July suppose to be fun for us but all what we see written and hear about in News regard NY Knicks
it doesnt seem good. Alot of influences against NewYork ever being in any running for any kind of upgrade of star
talent which the rich get richer, The BULLs, LAKERs and CELTICs show the NBA is no place for our Knick team.

Not even with all the loot $$$$ or second most able franchise to spend money and cannout even get lucky to have
someone interested. This wont change to Jim Dolan is out. He hasnt made things better. Lots of ex Knicks grunted.

I Dont even think guys and legends like Earl Monroe and Frazier are properly taken care of in Knicks organization
That is part reason why we're not favorite to get any sentiment around the league.

When you have fakers like Knick supposedly fan Chris Rock at Laker game like he is a fan of LA
then we know we're in trouble !

Oakley is an idiot he needs a PR person following him 24/7 he talks nonsense all the time. As far a Clyde and Monroe they are taken care of Clyde does TV and Monroe does radio I believe. Patrick Ewing always wanted out and he got his wish and now regrets his decision to leave the Knicks. They were the only team to give his son a shot. The Knicks have loyalty to their ex players just look at Starks and H20 they are a part of the organization. Look at Herb Williams how he has a job to this date no one knows. People should not be listening to Oakley he is a disgruntled retard. As far as Nate he is a talented player but he is an asz clown. Last year he was a FA and not one team made an offer to him and the Knicks to boot gave him a very nice contract for a player no other team made an offer for. Celtic sat his azz on the bench and watched him not collect the extra million he would have gotten. And he is talking smack about the Knicks he is Nate the ungrateful the Knicks put up with his BS. He has no idea what the Knicks did for him as far as I'm concerned he is more like a spurned lover who can't get the Knicks off his mind.

Some folks around here think charlse-dumb as a OAK tree, should be part of the knicks coaching staff..Thats like picturing Barkley as a HEAD COACH or a coach of any magnitude.

Nate, I love the little guys energy, but your a 6/7th man on a bad team, 10th on a good one. He paid his dues (LMAO) he made no one better around him, and the team had a better record with out him..No little BUDDY the knicks PAID you bills.

I agree with you V..I would love to have EWING back, but this is not a LEAD by example job (being a head coach) his non vocal leadership was so evident when he played, and if thats your personality then thats cool, but don't think your owed something just because, PAY YOUR DUES as an assistant, "and show us what you got" (remember that PUBLIC ENEMY SONG) Teach Dewight how to do something more then Dunk and Block f***g basketball..

Besides, some players aren't fit to do certain jobs, coaching, analyst, commentating..

Most of the disgruntled Knicks are pissed cause the Knicks won't name them as coaches. Ewing is on record as saying that his request for a trade was a mistake on his part. Oakley petitioned for an assistant position (which I would have given him) but never got one. Mark Jackson wanted the head coach position (but what coaching has he done?). Not for nothing, if the biggest problem players have is that the Knicks didn't hire them, keep them, or re-sign them, I don't think that is a negative against the franchise. In any event, I still am giving the Knicks management this offseason to realize upon the plan they set in motion nearly two years ago.

Oakley seems mad salty and feminine. Why is he still holding a grudge? Thats what females do.

And what the hell is he talking about that Ewing never took heat for not winning a chip. He took all the heat! Damn, Oakley was a hell of a player for us, but I lost some respect for duke with those comments.

I can understand why Nate is barking, tho. The stuff between him and D'Antoni is recent, but he should just be the bigger person and keep it moving. No use lowering himself to D'Antoni's level...pardon the pun.

Oak just comes off as a bitter old man in that whole article. Forget taking shots at the Knicks organization, but a couple of his comments about Patrick caught me off guard. Even took a shot at Riley. A flat out average basketball player who has reached hero status among many Knick fans, I was never one of them. Loved the Camby trade, wish we could have done something like that while Patrick was younger

Seb, I can't agree with you on Nate, I can see where his act can grows old. To blame MDA isn't right all you have to do is watch how the Celtics broke him down, they sat his azz down and he watched helplessly while his million went down the drain. You don't think his act was monitored by the Celtics. You want to blame MDA for Nate being Nate. MDA the year before made Nate into a scorer gave him gaudy numbers in his system, at one point he gave Nate free reign and still no one want a piece of immaturity on their team. The problem with Nate is he is talented but the lack of seriousness is lacking and when it is all said and done this is a business and jobs are at stake. Nate makes his own bed don't blame others for his BS.

This is why no one is coming to New York. That same under the bus attitude. We disrespected Ewings son. We kept junk players on this team and disrespected Patrick Ewing. If you don't think that LeBron won't talk to Ewing about the Knicks you are dreaming. He will. I guess none of you will understand this until the middle of July. Lebron is also smart enough to know that to win a championshop you need superstars, 3 on a team might get you to the finals.

Tired of these "shoot form the hip" icons of Knick lore. They don't let you talk because it's not conducive to the image that is being repped. N8? C'mon. When he was here, he talked the talk, but couldn't wrap his brain around what was needed from him. If he could have bore down on defense, they would never had let him go. Oakley could have been a coach, but his overly candid interviews made him a liability. Listen to the guys still here; Houston, Starks, Herb, Clyde. They can see a light at the end of the tunnel and they can express it while critiquing the team. That's what public relations is all about.

Vmart,

I'm not blaming Nate's behavior on D'Antoni, but Nate is 25 years old and D'Antoni is a grown authority figure. That said, I honestly dont know who the immature, 25 year old is between the two.

What exactly warranted Nate being benched for 13 games straight games like he was some sort of pariah? Because Nate shot at his own basket during a time out? Stupid, but was it worth all that?

Okay, D'Antoni thought that his relationship with Nate was untenable and he wanted him on the first thing smoking. Cool. Go to Walsh and tell him that he needs to look for a deal to get Nate out of here because he has no future with the Knicks. All the while, maintain a professional front and try to get the most out of the kid while he is still a member of the organization.

But naw, D'Antoni couldnt resist completely embarrassing Nate and making him the scapegoat for all the Knicks ills. It was completely pathetic and childish the way D'Antoni handled Nate and I have no respect for it.

Thats what blind hate does to a man. It completely divorces him from reality. That quote is ludicrous because its the exact opposite. Ewing took all the grief for the '90s Knicks not winning a chip. Ewing is the poster boy for that disappointment.

Shyt, even John starks, who was pathetic in game 7 of the '94 finals, has been let completely off the hook. Nobody even mentions Oakley unless they're talking about how hard nosed of a player he was --- not that he was the reason we didnt win a title. Oakley is full of shyt and a pathetic liar.

Your utter hate for the Lakers is really impressive DJ. If wanting to be in the front row of a Finals game to watch a bunch of future Hall of Famers is wrong, I don't want to be right!

God forbid a movie star attend a game in Hollywood, unless maybe if it's the Clippers, right?

Oakley seems to struggle with the loss of the spotlight... that said, this media policy is BS and has caused numerous issues over the years including cutting ties with Spree and Camby. I'd rather take this opportunity to crap on Dolan than Oak. I don't know why people expect Oak to say something different about the franchise than we would just because he's an ex Knick.

i have zero regrets about nate. dude was given years of chances here to develop beyond a gimmick act and he didn’t. walsh probably signed him to give him one last chance. you know what you’re getting with nate and by the time mda benched his wrong-basket-shooting ass i could have cared less if he left him there permanently.

mdsa screwed up plenty of things last year, but nate is a real who cares blip on the screen imo.
