We've long been chronicling Michael Beasley's status with the Heat since their season ended. It's been surmised the team is looking to trade him in an effort to perhaps generate a little more cap space for roster flexibility this summer.
After two years of inconsistent play, they no longer appear to have their former No. 2 pick in their future plans.
And have they already offered him to another team, and been rejected? ESPN's Ryen Russillo reported on the NBA Today podcast that a deal of Keyon Dooling for Beasley was rejected by the Nets.
If this is true, it certainly lends more support to the reports that Beasley's time is Miami could be up soon -- perhaps as quickly as draft night later here in June.
Here's the transcription of Russillo's comments, along with previous commentary from ESPN's Chris Sheridan about some possible new homes -- including the aforementioned Nets.
Wow... just wow......
