All the places you listed are cities. The Giants and Jets play in a completely different state.

Can't believe that if there was a will we could not have found at least one way for one of those teams to be playing in the rreal NYC area.

they did, and yours truly Mr. Dolan shut down the deal if I am correct... I think he led the crusade against the jets building a stadium on the westside of manhattan..

Thats entirely semantics. The Giants and Jets play closer to NYC than the Cowboys do to Dallas. I guess the Bills, 400+ miles away from Times Square, represent the NYC area more than a team who plays 7-8miles away, because they are technically in the same state. I guess you would have no issue if the Bills changed their name to the "Manhattan Bills" because they are technically in the same state. They are called NY for plenty of reasons including tradition and marketability, plus the league needs to represent the largest market in the country.
