In an interview with Larry King that will air on Friday, LeBron James said the Cavaliers have the inside track on retaining him as a free-agent this summer.

King asked James, "Do you lean at all toward the place you know the best? I mean do they have an edge going in?"

"Oh, absolutely," James said.

King then asked James if he meant his home team, the Cavs.

"Absolutely," James answered. "Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years.

"And, you know, for me, it's comfortable. So I've got a lot of memories here. And - and so it does have an edge."

James' remarks are the first insight into which way he is leaning since Cleveland was eliminated from the playoffs nearly three weeks ago.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Hey I don't expect Lebron to say anything but that he has a sense of loyalty to Cleveland. That doesn't mean that he's not going to seriously listen to what the other teams have to offer. The Home team almost always has an edge cuz they can pay more and in his case it's his home state as well. Still DW and MDA will have a chance to make a case that his future will be best spent here. I think they can make a very convincing case considering all of the options we have to support him. Still there's no guarantee that will be enough to pull him away from his comfort zone.

Word. Of course he's gonna say that. He already knows if he's staying or leaving. He just needs the wooing show to stroke his ego. He's leaving Cleveland. The only thing he will decide in the next few weeks is if he prefers the Knicks or the Bulls.

Also, he most likely wants to play with Bosh, so it may matter where Bosh prefers to play and if the Bulls make a deal that Toronto wants in a S&T.

I like the Knicks' chances.
