![]() I think they made it as far as they should have made it, maybe further than they should have this year.
The year that they had Joe Johnson and Marion... that's when they should have made it. They don't really have wing defenders now. Lopez is the only interior defender. I might try to get younger if I were them, but who do you trade for? Nash for Iguodala might be interesting. Alan Hahn:
Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

![]() Nash gets the most out of his talent of anyone I can remember. He plays hard on D but he's not that physically gifted. His great handle and change of pace is how he gets by guys. He's not that fast really but he makes sharp quick moves with the ball. His great leadership has willed his teams to more success than the talent would suggest. The Suns aren't that great of a team so I can't blame him at all.
They need a wing that can create his own shot and take over for a while. Maybe if J Johnson had stayed they may have broke thru. |

![]() The Suns have a good backup in the kid from Europe. If that kid can improve his shot, he should extend Nash's career by another year or two becaue that kid could run the team for 20 minutes or so.
I always thought Nash was not worthy of the two MVP awards, but watching him play, I don't think any player in the hisotry of the league has run the pick and roll play as well as Nash does it. The dude is amazing. Trust the Process

I'm sure you can go back and find a lot of folks who played great D and never won a title. Nash has never been a great defensive player, but he is no slacker on D, either. To say that he has no impact at all on D is foolishness. Rick Barry and Dr. J, by the way, were both "superstars" who won championships but were not know for their D, other than playing the passing lanes. Both played with some solid defenders, though. There have been some very good defensive teams- the Knicks of Riley and JVG, the Bulls of the early 70's (Sloan and Van Lier), Nate Thurmond's Warrior teams, Lebron's Cavs (so far)and I am sure that I can find more if I want to waste some more time, who have not won a title. I want a team that can play good O and good D, and the well rounded teams usually win. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. Nash is not the reason the Suns haven't won a title, just as Stockton/Malone, Ewing, or Nate Thurmond aren't the reasons for their respective teams not winning titles. No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities- C.N. Bovee

![]() that's what i want to see out of any competitor after his team loses... shows he cares & really wants it... watching Lebron walk calmly off the floor stripping off his jersey for possibly the last time is not what i am looking to see in a competitor... that said i'd wash & iron his new Knicks jersey for him if he signed with us this summer.

This is waay off base, Steve Nash is one of the best players in the league and he plays as hard as anybody and is always ready to go. Please don't bash on Nash fro failures of other players around him. Its ridiculous to suggest he plays no defense. TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

![]() But his fro has been a failure.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

![]() Steve Nash is a terrific player 2 time MVP of the league, but will the guy go to the finals ever by staying in Phoenix ? I believe he would fare better playing on a eastern conference contending team.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

And I'm secretly wishing that if Phoenix loses Amare they decide to trade him to us for Curry's ending contract so they can start to rebuild. |
