I don't think either coach deserved firing.

The Cavs are saying to LeBron, oh PLEASE stay, we'll even let you pick your own coach!

But, I doubt that changes his mind one way or another. If he's leaving that's not going to make him decide to stay. If he's staying it had nothing to do with him staying in the first place.

Non-Issue.

Disagree on Brown. I don't think he was the right coach to take that Cavs team to the next level. Defensively, he did a good job of getting his team to put forth a strong effort on the court but offensively, he was a mess.

I know LeBron is great but you can't get away with just running iso with him at the top of the key each time up the floor. Good teams (like the Celtics) will not let you win with that nonsense.

Brown had best record the last two years.

He is not the guy to get them over the hump, but they ain't going over the hump.

Lebron is not without fault here regards of "Fault".

Maybe injury, maybe his new "delonte Daddy", and maybe the team is not constructed properly.

Somtimes a sleeping giant like the celtics wake up and make a run, and somtimes a team like the Magic come together.

Sometimes its not someones "fault" but your opponent is just playing better.

Fire teh coach and give the season ticket holders hope. THats how you sell tickets!

If Atlanta get a disciplinary & defensive coach like Avery Johnson they will improve dramatically.

He had no control of that team, not a good X O guy

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

oh the irony, Mike Brown got fired cause he wasn't a good enough of an offensive minded coach. prob worked too much on defense during practice.

And Danny Ferry? He should be helping Mike pack his things, and then follow him out the door.

The best Ferry could do was add an over the hill Shaq & an overrated Jamison.

Owner wants to show Lebron he is serious, he fires both of them, and says his men let Lebron down, and the org. needs new direction and new minds to help Lebron win a title.

Coach is only a small part of the equation.

He got fired because he cant coach. His assistants do the coaching.

you fail to notice the irony. people here clamor for d'antoni to be fire because he "doesn't coach defense." well brown "only coaches defense" and he was just fired. who woulda thought.

mike b got fired cuz he isnt a good coach. dude got a job that had an elite player already and in a bad conf. i would expect most coaches to not mess that up until it counts (playoffs).

I don't think Mike Brown or Mike Woodson are bad coaches. Their teams just weren't that good. : / Atlanta wasn't as good as Orlando and Cleveland wasn't as good as Boston. And we're finding out that Orlando isn't as good as Boston. It doesn't mean Stan Van Gundy isn't a good Coach. It's isn't always the coaches fault when the team losses.

mike b has looked lost the past 2 years handling what other coaches/teams are up to. mike b failed to adjust to bos and it cost his team. you could say sa > cle in that finals run. however being the top seed with the league mvp, etc, the expectations werent being met.

mike b == rick carlisle == avery johnson == mike dantoni == b scott == guys who have gotten close and then were forced out. win a title and these guys may alter how folks think of them.

That team is as undiscipline as they get. Iso's only makes each player play for themselves. The is no I in team.

Give A GOOD X and O guy with the Hawks and you see and team on the rise. Iso helps teams play defense better against you in the playoffs. Reg season you can get away with it.

I've watched Woodson lose control of that team on many occassions, They need a tuff guy like scott skiles or avery johnspon.

It's really BS how you can give a guy coach of the year, then fired him the very next year becuase expectations shoot through the roof.. both woodson and browns firing were dereserving since neither has been able to get there team to the next level..

They listen to the players exit interview, then Im assuming the base it off of that for the most part.

In brown's case he had the 2nd best player on the planet, a very experince roster, and failed to make any adjusments in the playoffs ( and may cause the franchise to lose the one player he gave all the freedom to).

The guy coached a good roster, to the best record in the league. Something has to be said for that. He's not a great coach by any means, but he is no cardboard cut out either.
