One thing is D Walsk seems like a legitimately nice guy. True breath of fresh air over the last two guys. While Dolan isnt the best guy to root for--you can root for D walsh to succeed no problem.

Donnie, like all real New Yorkers is anti-hype all substance.
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

DW is the real deal. People have been making jokes about the guy, but if he gets this thing done no one will be laughing but him. He's done everything he set out to do with out cap situation and all his gambles have paid off so far. He's got an old pro's feel for this stuff and it's looking more likely than not he can get it done. I think Lebron and Bosh deep in their hearts want to be here. I think their Agents want them to be here too. Agents have to know that winning here in NY has more fringe benefits than most other cities. I think we have to find a way to give them the financial security they're looking for without depleting the team. IT's a tough deal, but that's what DW gets paid for.

Whats up with him saying that he could sign 2 max cats and Lee?In that scenario Gallo and Chandler would have to be traded. And to be honest I would want to keep Gallo over Lee.For many reasons, cheaper contract and I bealive Gallo is going to end up better in the long run.

DW was only saying he's got options. He wasn't saying anything definitive.
He sounds like he likes his chances this summer. He may not have gotten any confirmation from specific players but he most suredly has some insight from agents and handlers. I'm sure he's talking to other GM's about possible trades. He'll be ready.

If things don't go the way he hoped, he won't do something stupid just to offset the backlash of the J Hill trade.

Maybe he has a Curry trade lined up?

Only thing I can think of.

Maybe one of the max guys is an S&T and Curry is filler in it - with say Chandler going out (which I think is a distinct possibility that Chandler is a goner in trade).
