Looks like he's expendable to them now.

Wouldn't you rather pay Iggy over the next 4 years than Joe Johnson the max for 5-6?

No idea who we'd trade to land him. We could sign and trade one of this summers FAs to Philly

or

Eddy Curry's Expiring Contract

now known as ECEC

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

no thanks to iggy. he's on the books for atleast 4 years and he hardly puts stats superior to chandler, who is a similar player.

The problem with Iggy is he has no jump shot what so ever. I'd pass. At least guys like Arenas and Johnson can shoot.

i'd rather have Iggy than Joe Johnson, i'll agree w/u on that front... if u could get him for EC & a 2nd rounder, i'd do it, but nothing more than that... Bill Walker looked pretty good playing out of the SG i don't mind giving him a shot next year if we fail in our mission to land a bigtime star rather than maxing out our payroll on 2nd tier guys.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

but if you had to choose..??

That's what I figure Donnie is looking at

Plan A Sign Lebron

Plan B: Everyone's been discussing Joe Johnson/Boozer

but if they don't fit what the Knicks are looking for.

.maybe we can sign Carlos Boozer to the max..and trade him to whatever team needs a low post scorer but doesn't have free agent $ because it's locked up long term to an Iguodala/Chris Paul.

Shoot since New Orleans has Chris Paul AND Darren Collison wouldn't it make sense for them to do say

Knicks sign Joe Johnson..trade to New Orleans for Chris Paul
Knicks trade Eddy Curry + X to New Orleans for Chris Paul

Hornets run out:

Darren Collison
Joe Johnson
Peja
David West
Emeka Okafor

Knicks run out:

Chris Paul
SG:
Chandler
Gallo
C:

and then pray to the MSG gods that Paul's knee is not worthless

I think Igoudala is a great facilitator on offense with elite athleticism. My issue is he has no jumper at all.

Igoudala and Rudy Gay are a better comparison because both are prototypical SF's.

I like Iguodala more than Chandler - I think his overall skill set is more refined - particularly his PG-like ball handling/passing skills. He's kind of like a new age Pippen without a matching Jordan. However, the one thing he won't do is take over a game like a true franchise player would - but he'd instantly become the best defender on the team.

Now how would you get him? I'd imagine the Sixers would want to dump his salary pretty badly. Iguodala is a nice complementary piece that could play a supporting role next to anyone. He'll make his teammates better, but won't go after the big shot the way someone like a Vince Carter would.

I like Iggy and I think he's better than he's looked in Philly. Like others have said he could be a Pippen type next to a true #1 type.
