the playoffs. Multiple big bodies upfront diversified with big strong wings and smart PGs.

It just seems like experience and desire is winning out.

yea.. cle was bigger than Bos. SAS was bigger than Pho.. size, skill and length when together are a key combo. Best example is the Piston's team beating a much bigger Lakers team.

the Lakers are going to win because they have the best players. They're big, but they're incredibly skilled. Name a better 5 than:

Kobe
Gasol
Odom
Artest
Bynum

Celtics can come close with KG, Rondo, Pierce, Allen and Perkins.

Celts/Lakers rematch. Should be a doozy.

boston is just a bad matchup for the magic. they defend the paint better than anyone in the league which neutralizes dwight. and unlike the bobcats (who did the same thing), boston has enough scorers to overcome orlando's shooters.

the magic need a PF in the worst way to get back to a more traditional lineup for the postseason.

thibadeau needs to be a head coach somewhere next season - jersey perhaps?

Isn't Orlando bigger, longer than Boston?

I think as far as Orlando, they are not playing with the same intensity as Boston. Boston has stepped up their game.

The fact is, Orlando should be able to beat them. But, I'm not sure they have the same will to win that Boston has.

Orlando will do to Boston what they did to them in Orlando. Some of these players can't play well against stiff competition in front of home fans in pressure games.

Hell yes. I am getting really psyched for the finals. Should be one for the ages. Go Celtics! (Can't stand the thought of the Lakers winning it again).

I expressed this same Or similar sentiment in forum post in the past.

Vince is taking a lot of heat for a team failure. They love Nelson down there but he has been pretty bad this series. And they just wrote off Lewis.

Vince as he is
shouldnt take all the heat, He is doing best he can and Dwight messed up game#1

All in all i agree
the culprits are softies PG J.Nelson and R.Lewis
they are sleepwalking. Howard at least showed up.

Turkolu showed last yr how good he was to help Lewis and Nelson a bit, last time they made it
to finals.

Now you got Pierce talking big smack and backing it up about "We're gonna wrap it up at home, next 2 games"

Orlando be lucky to win 1 game
Disappointing. CAVs and now MAGIC

If Pat Ewing Knicks team would be laying chops and would not or never lose 2 games at home to this Celtic team
Give Celtics credit and I hate em'

Yep. Jameer especially is getting bodied something serious in this series.

Nelson is hanging on for dear life against rondo on defense and he's not getting his teammates good, open looks on offense.

Rashard has been comical.

Vince is actually trying hard out there, its just that he cant create his own shot anymore. If he were playing with a facilitator like Rondo he would be looking a lot better.

Rashard Lewis's contract is mind numbing. He's like a rich man's Tim Thomas making $20mm a year

worst contract in sports. He's, what, the fourth best player on his own team? And the Magic arent even that good.

the contract is nuts but they won 36 and 40 games prior to his signing.

after it, 52, 59 and 59 and ECF semifinals, nba finals and in the ECF conference finals now.

not all his doing but he has helped them win at a very high level.

if they're over the cap anyway, then who cares about the $$$'s?

he's a nice little stationary shooting, role player. His signing coincided with the rise of Howard and Nelson. A lot of players who are making 1/4th of what he makes would have done just as adequate of a job.

At the time I thought the contract was a joke and its proven he deserves about half of that shyt, if that.

Was gonna say something similar.

Knicks up to this point haven't been anywhere close to being competitive in any shape or form since 2000. Knicks have a clean slate now...just gotta be patient.
