I would go safe and take Greg Monroe. I think he's a very nice fit next to Lopez. Cousins really is a pure 5 and Derrick Favors is much more of a raw skilled specimen compared to Monroe who is quite a bit more polished and skilled. Monroe is a great passer and he improved his shot blocking he can handle shoot with some range but also post up. I just like the skilled package more at 3 and he's a solid solid kid.

said it before, i hope his softness in coll was due to jt3's scheme and not his basically being .... soft

he was underwhelming considering the big men gtown has had in terms of aggressiveness. seems like he wishes he was a g and not a c.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

The three is to easy to fill to take so high. I like the size and skill of Lopez and Monroe together.
Id be looking at Damion Jones for the 3 --maybe I can take picks 27+31 and move up a bit. That gives me two productive physical athletic skill players

Terence Williams emerged down the stretch of the season...he's their answer at SF. Briggs makes sense with the Monroe idea. Nets need a big man. It really depends on who they can sign....that person might very well be David Lee.

Holy shot....would the Nets trade that pick to get David Lee???

You pick Monroe when you have Lopez? Interesting, given his speed and handle for his size, but I think you have to go with Favors.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Thought the russian was gonna slap Abe Polin's widow!

The old lady cost him Lebron. At least he does not have to over pay Calipari.

LeBron James was never going to New Jersey. Please stop with this silly rumor.

Actually, Jersey shouldn't be that upset. Devin Harris is not a bum. And I think John Wall is a little overrated.

Yeah no way do I take Greg Monroe 3rd in this draft..I wouldn't say he stinks but he's clearly not the best overall player there. Not even the best big man...

Monroe does have some skills for a big guy, but you're not worried about the lack of lateral defensive ability that your D will have to contend with if you have Monroe and Lopez anchoring your power positions?

I'm not worried about players who will give 110% effort. I don't see Monroe as slow. You're getting a guy who can really help with the synergy of the team. Favors is much more of a raw player and certainly not fully polished.

the lottery kills any chance the Nets had at getting Lebron.

i think it also really hurts them in getting other big name free agents, althought im sure they'll get someone.

i have a feeling the Nets will end up with D. Lee

What the Nets need to do is bring back Byron Scott first.

I doubt the Net's keep the pick. They will shop Harris and the pick and see if they can get an allstar out of it. For all we know they could trade the pick and Harris for Rubio and Al Jefferson. Maybe Kahn trades Rubio straight up for the 2nd pick.
