yeah kobe is definitely the best player in the nba. kobe does have more to work with than lebron but kobe is a straight coldblooded killer. he should have more than 1 mvp without a doubt.

Lebron definitely disappointed me last week, so I'm not all that invested in overtly defending him, but what you said can't come off as casually as you made it seem. Lamar Odom is arguably better than anybody else the Cavs got and he comes off the bench.

What was Bean doing when he had Smush Parker as his point guard?

He was taking the great D'Antoni' Suns to game 7. And Lamar was on that team too. Your boy doesn't have it in him. Either he is too busy clowning or having others clown him. It's funny how everyone just assume that the Great one will win a champ like they give them away at swap meets. I guess Baylor felt that way too.

“I believe that Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the game, his experience and his overall talent. It’s not taking away from LeBron, it’s not taking away from Carmelo, it’s not taking away from myself,” Wade told ESPN Radio Chicago. “Kobe has been in the game longer than the rest of us, he’s older than us, he’s smart with the game. He’s the better player.”

No shame, D-Wade. No shame. Just truth.

LeBron has yet to show me that he can make 2-3 moves and get his shot off. LeBron is mechanical his shooting is mechanical Kobe's game just flows, Kobe has head fakes, different looks he has a repertoire of moves. I can't say that about LeBron. With LeBron its put you head down and drive to the basket or settle for a jumper.

Alright, I know you got your lucky draws on with number 24 written on em and everything, Pharzone, but the point is that Kobe's brilliance and dominance resulted in early playoff exits during those years. Just like Lebron.

No matter how good you are, you cant do it all by yourself. Kobe learned that at a later age than Lebron is right now. Give Lebron Pau, Bynum, Artest, AND Lamar and give Kobe, an old ass Antwan Jamison as his second best player and then we can have a more legit convo.

no doubt seb - the teammates make all the difference. it would be really interesting to see kobe and lebron swap teams from this past year just to see how they would do.

At this point, it's called working on your game. Not just having it.

Now wait a second. Didn't Kobe win a title without Artest? Bynum was on those teams that made earlier exits and like I said so was Lamar. I don't recall people singing the praises of Pau when he was wasting away in Memphis. Jamison led his team to more playoff games then Pau did. Better question, does Lebron make his teammates better rather than stuff his assist stats. Does he get in their faces to want to bring it like Kobe game in and game out. Where is the focus that he leads his team with? From what I seen he rather dance with them and goof off with him. One year, Lebron is trying to clown on Ariza's game when he was with the Knicks and the next he is trying to lure him to Cavs after Kobe worked with him. There is a lot of assumption going on there with Lebron. For all I know you put Lebron on the Lakers and they get swept because they too focus on Martin episodes and practicing handshakes.

Does anyone really believe that if you put Karl Malone on the 96-97 Bulls teams that the result would have been the same?

well now you're using different position players. kobe and lebron play the same position. the difference between them is kobe's will to win. i would like to see if kobe's will to win takes the cavs higher than lebron has.

Actually Kobe is SG and Lebron is SF but ok, I agree Kobe is extremely focus in the mold of Jordan. That's why I never got the Lebron to Jordan comparisons at this point in his career.
