i'm a big fan of the ray's on 11th st and 6th avenue. it's a big cheesy slice. i love cheese. new park pizza is awesome but it's on cross bay blvd in howard beach. not exactly around the corner from the city.

Where are my Queens cats? Hey, I used to mess with Gloria's back in the day as a shorty. Is that still there?

If ya'll ever hit the bay area of Cali, hit up House of Pizza in San Jose, California. Best pizza in the state.

Ah... Gloria's. That brings me back. I haven't went there in years. I rode through Main Street last year and most of the area as changed at least from what I used to know.

Is Famous Ray still there in Midtown? Their pizza was pretty ok to me but others raved about them.

I consider myself a pizza connoisseur... I think the best place is for the fancy neopolitan pie is Keste. 271 Bleecker St. This place has taken the entire line from John's on Bleecker. So, if the line for Keste is too long, you can always go to John's Pizza. Otherwise, Luzzo's is great and is only a couple blocks from McSorley's Ale House... that makes for some good entertainment...

My top in Manhattan right now:

1) Keste
2) Luzzo's
3) Motorino's
4) Company
5) Pala
6) Patsy's (original on 117th)
7) Lombardi's
8) John's Pizza
9) Arturo's
10) Totonno's

You know I gonna spin wit it

Steer clear of McSorley's on a weekend night. Ridiculously crowded. Nice place during the day though.

I don't know how things have changed, and if the place is even up anymore, but V&Ts on Amsterdamn between W110th and W111th was freaking amazing. If it's still up, and if the food is the same, it's absolutely worth a look.

Patsy's is legit...Lombardi's is good...Grimaldi's in Brooklyn is good...Best in the city is Di Fara on Ave.J and E. 15th in Brooklyn...Just an awesome pie, like a hour and half wait...You have to make this trip once if you like pizza...

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

that gets my vote too... but then again, I haven't deviated from that place at all. That's where I've been going forever. so maybe other places have usurped it as number one but, damnit, I am never disappointed

My favorite is Artichoke on 14th between 1st and 2nd. It's not a sit down place though. Classic NY slice. The trick is to get the margherite slice (or sicilian). Don't get the Artichoke unless you want to try something different.

Gloria's was the best. Surprised to see it mentioned but the best I can remember.

Artichoke was great when they first opened but now the line is too long and the pizza is more hype than truth. John's on Bleecker makes a great New York pie. And Luzzo is great too. I've been meaning to try Keste bc everyone says its amazing.

any pizzeria in Brooklyn... Ray's is an oily mess, so if u like slurping up your cheese with a straw, that's the place for you.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

There was a place on W. 4th street called "Picasso" that has neopolitan style super flat pizza with amazing ingredients and home made mozzarella, all cooked in a wood fire oven. Best pizza I ever tasted in the City, but kind of expensive at about $15 for a pizza big enough for one. Not sure if they are still in the village, I think they moved uptown or perhaps even out of town.

For regular pizza, John's is great (on 6th Ave in the village), Ben's in Soho on Spring St., or the original Rays downtown is really good, and very filling.

Best pizza place in the city?
