-->Varnado had a tough match-up in the post going against Jerome Jordan, which led to some mixed results for his back-to-the-basket offense. Varnado showed nice agility and range on his moves, using a good variety of running hooks and turnaround jumpers, but at times Jordan’s length was just too smothering, not surprising given the 4 inches Varnado is giving up

That's why teams have to project whether a players skill sets will translate to pro ball. Jerome Jordan is a true 7 footer and he's got the length and the size to really bother a smaller player like Varando--why he is likely a better pro prospect.

Posting and toasting is highlighting some of the prospects in the draft. Varnado was the subject yesterday. He looks quite nice as a shot blocker.
Still at 6'9 and 210-220 he's short and light. And no jumpshot. Sounds like Jeffries on a pogo stick...no thx.
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
