Man I was reading posts from a Cav's forum and aside from anger and a few guys with apathetic views to the possible loss of Lebron, there was a lot of despair. This one really hit home:

"We are going back to the dark ages of Gund Arena after LeBron leaves. How things played out this year were so devastating that I think it's possible the Cavs will eventually leave the city down the line. After LeBron leaves they will be rebuilding from rock bottom.

You want perspective? Us Cavs fans have been living a Cinderella story, and the clock just struck midnight."

It's ALMOST enough to make you feel sorry for them. ALMOST!!! Man this is pro sports and player movement is a reality. I want to see the Knicks win a title before I leave this world. If it's at the sorrow of Cavs fans so be it. Still it has to suck so bad.

I certainly do t feel sorry for them.

1) They tanked an entire season to get this guy, which can be viewed as smart but it is also questionable - granted there have been a few seasons I wish the Knicks had tanked.

2) They never got this guy a great coach. I am not sure what the deal is with coaching in Cleveland but if you have one of the bes players in the game and a talented roster, you NEED a great coach to teach them and put the team over the top.

3) Even though the supporting cast has been serviceable, Lebron really needs a true sidekick and not just a roster of role players. He can do it alone.

4) They knew this was coming and their answer to stop it was Jamison and Shaq.

This is stuff we all know, and Cavs fans must be hurting - but that franchise botched this.

Lebron also botched it by insisting on quick fix help as we did with Ewing. Unless he wants to take a big pay cut and walk onto the lakers or SA then he has to be part of a new situation and let it be built right.

I disagree. Lebron did not insist on a quick fix at all. He waited of 7 years! The Cavs dropped the ball by doing nothing until they realized him leaving town was a possibility.

All they have to do is tank one season. Just like they did when they got LeBron. I always felt that they should be punished for doing what they did that year.

He went to the finals with wally z in his 5th year. The big Z was a max player HE wanted. Mo williams, Jamison, Donyell marshall......Lots of "B" tier expensive players. ITs not like they just woke up to his demands. They tried. They never tried to draft and develope a core and THEN add.

It not like he waited 7 years. He was an 18 year old rookie when he came in.

Nobody can buy legacy.
It is earned with years of hard work and determination.
LaBron is a big peice of false gold for anybody who is delusional enough to think he is a sure ticket to the chip.
LeBron is a big piece of real contender for those who know what it takes to win it all. What they know about this in Cleavlend?
