The Bulls are a ready-made playoff team, top free-agents can hand-pick the head coach, and they have a good fanbase.
The Nets have a few tradeable assets, again a top free-agent could at the very least influence greatly the hiring of the next coach and finally they will most likley end up with a top three pick.
The Knicks have D'Antoni, have some young talent, and a bunch of cap space.
Everyone makes a big deal out of location but in reality I don't know if that's important. Anyone making 15, 17 million dollars can purchase a home anywhere in the world. For someone like Lebron or Wade anywhere they go (if they leave) the fanbase will skyrocket, and most players live in the Suburbs, NJ, NY, Chicago all have very exclusive and wealthy communities that would be ideal of purchasing a home.
I don't think you - or anyone who thinks Lebron should even consider anywhere besides NY - realizes what could, no, will happen if Lebron comes to NY. The Yankees baseball hat. Everyone in NY wears it. That's not saying much. Go to Europe, lots of people THERE wear it. I was in EGYPT 'last summer, people were wearing it even there. This doesn't happen with the White Sox or Cubs. This happens with the Yankees. (Excuse my baseball ignorance if its showing right now).
Take that Yankees baseball hat, the millions and millions of people wearing it, and replace it with a NEW YORK KNICKS hat. The magnitude of change, the revolution of NY basketball, the icon of Lebron in NY, the global image of NY and LEBRON, that is what will happen when Lebron comes to NY.
