What an imposter.

How can you be a king without a crown ?

Kobe was probably ROTFL last night.

I'm done.

Kobe Bryant also had bad Playoff games. So did Michael Jordan. It happens.

But where's the motivation Lebron never had to accomplished anything before people had him slated the best player. The NBA has been doing this for 10 years trying to find MJ's replacement and thus far it's been Kobe and that's it.

and Kobe played on lottery teams after Shaq left. Kobe is the best finisher in the league. No doubt, but he doesnt win without guys that fill out the stat sheet the other 45 minutes of the game

man, bron must be coming to the knicks. people are already assassinating him here like he wears the orange and blue.

name one other cav who has remotely had a good series? this is a one man band in cleveland. bron is great, but he has no help.

to assassinate him for not doing it all by himself when a team is locked in on him is ridiculous.

Just like Jordan. Pippen and the other guys on those Chicago teams filled up the stat sheet on a nightly basis, regular season or playoffs.

Jordan won because of this, the same way Kobe won it last year.

No one. Which is why he won't get a ring, and which is why he's not the best player in the game.

To be fair, Kobe only played on one lottery team post-Shaq - and that was only b/c both he and Lamar Odom (iirc) got injured and Rudy T quit near the end of the season. They were the 6th/7th seed before the bottom fell out.

Kobe Bryant is no Michael Jordan. And LeBron James is only 25 years old. He was the most hyped high school athlete in sports history. He's reached expectations on a personal level. On a team level, that chapter is far from finished. LeBron will end up with at least 3 rings in his career.

i think people take the whole "best player in the game" thing a little too far. in the nba's history there has only ever been 2 guys who were so far and away better than everyone else and that's wilt and jordan. lebron and kobe are both top10 players of all-time, but noone can win alone, not even jordan. kobe has been lucky enough to have a guy like gasol, as well as shaq. lebron hasn't even come close to playing with a guy that caliber of those 2 guys. let's not forget either that kobe has one of the best, if not the best, coach of all time coaching him.

there's a lot of factors that go into "best player in the game" i don't think you can look at it based on championships and whatever else because if you ask me, i think lebron is more talented than kobe. kobe has a better jumper by a very wide margin, but that's it.

He's the best player. He doesn't have the best teammates though. At all.

I think people have been deluding themselves about this Cavs team the whole season. All along a lot of us have been saying the Cavs supporting cast is laughable and that team is all Lebron. When that's finally proven in the playoffs... it's somehow Lebron's fault?

This dude NEEDS some good players around him - and one other legit all-star, not a bunch of 30-something has-beens like Ben Wallace, Wally Z, Shaq and Jamison.

Give this guy Chris Bosh and he will win at least three rings over five years.

obviously an offseason where you add Lebron/Bosh is a dream. I would still like Lee over Bosh though. I think if you sign Lebron a) Lee takes less money or a fair offer (6 years $70mm, starts at $9mm) and that $9mm in cap space left can entice a good player(s) to take a bit less to come into this situation. Haywood, Jermaine Oneil, Tyrus, whoever... there will be a lot of guys who want to play on an uptempo MDA team w/ Lebron. LOTS. Plus Bosh is a woman.

Bosh is ten times the player David Lee, I'm sorry. I love DLee - he maximizes his potential and guts it out every night. But Bosh is bigger, faster, more skilled. Just a better player. A good month for DLee is averaging 22ppg and 12rpg. A good month for Bosh is 30ppg 14rpg.

We saw it against Toronto at that game in the Garden. It was a close, back and forth game. It came down to final possessions for DLee and Bosh. Bosh scored on his post move and DLee got blocked on his. That's the difference to me on those two guys - Bosh is bigger and better in the post - he won't get blocked as much.

Bosh playing with a guy like Lebron? Playing with D'Antoni?

Even if we could only have Bosh, I would take him in a heart beat. He's the best big in the league outside of Dwight Howard. And the best big on offense by miles. He proved this at the all-star game. I believe Bosh has unscratched potential that he hasn't even found yet. I think DLee has maxed his game. He's got heart and I'd like to keep him... but not over Bosh.

Bosh is waaaaaay better than Dlee.

Pretty sure LeBron James wants Chris Bosh over David Lee. And Bosh is a proven 2nd tier Scottie Pippen caliber Star. Lee is a 3rd/4th tier at best with his soft D.

EVERYONE IS DELUDING THEMSELVES when mentioning any current player being the goat.

1 today's defenses can't even compare to the gorilla warfare employed during the 80's and 90's.
2 yesterdays stars had to earn their prop while today's players are anointed before they achieve anything which gives them an inflated sense of entitlement.
3. even the best of todays players have holes in their games that you did not see in the 90's.
No way you'd call yourself a shooting guard and, NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT. Same with the point.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
