All along a lot of us have been saying the Cavs supporting cast is laughable and that team is all Lebron. When that's finally proven in the playoffs... it's somehow Lebron's fault? This dude NEEDS some good players around him - and one other legit all-star, not a bunch of 30-something has-beens like Ben Wallace, Wally Z, Shaq and Jamison.
Give this guy Chris Bosh and he will win at least three rings over five years.
obviously an offseason where you add Lebron/Bosh is a dream. I would still like Lee over Bosh though. I think if you sign Lebron a) Lee takes less money or a fair offer (6 years $70mm, starts at $9mm) and that $9mm in cap space left can entice a good player(s) to take a bit less to come into this situation. Haywood, Jermaine Oneil, Tyrus, whoever... there will be a lot of guys who want to play on an uptempo MDA team w/ Lebron. LOTS. Plus Bosh is a woman.
Bosh is ten times the player David Lee, I'm sorry. I love DLee - he maximizes his potential and guts it out every night. But Bosh is bigger, faster, more skilled. Just a better player. A good month for DLee is averaging 22ppg and 12rpg. A good month for Bosh is 30ppg 14rpg.
We saw it against Toronto at that game in the Garden. It was a close, back and forth game. It came down to final possessions for DLee and Bosh. Bosh scored on his post move and DLee got blocked on his. That's the difference to me on those two guys - Bosh is bigger and better in the post - he won't get blocked as much.
Bosh playing with a guy like Lebron? Playing with D'Antoni?
Even if we could only have Bosh, I would take him in a heart beat. He's the best big in the league outside of Dwight Howard. And the best big on offense by miles. He proved this at the all-star game. I believe Bosh has unscratched potential that he hasn't even found yet. I think DLee has maxed his game. He's got heart and I'd like to keep him... but not over Bosh.
Bosh is waaaaaay better than Dlee.
