This draft is very solid. You're very likely to get someone who can help you at many spots. I would have to think most of the quality big men will be consumed before pick 20 but there is an unusual amount of quality guards and wings to be had--I think all the way to 45 or so.

I can't see a money conscience team like Atlanta even extending the offer they already had. The fan base there is fickle---JJ not only played himself[likely] out of Atlanta[unless he takes a massive cut] he certainly won't be entertaining offers anywhere near 15mm. I would say Atlanta would go in a separate direction --valuing their pick and 8+mm in cap space over resigning JJ. Which would mean the 24 pick we mightve had a chance at is now DOA.

donnie has been patient enough to attain and preserve two max cap slots for two years.

do you really think he was going to sacrifice that with 50 days to go for the 24th pick in the draft?

also, i doubt atlanta knows what they're doing yet. they were probably floating the idea that they might sell their pick out there to see if they had any takers. you won't see a move like this actually happen until june... probably until after the finals.

I think after getting smacked by Orlando they may consider keeping that pick and S&T Joe Johnson to a team over the cap.

I think teams like Boston, Dallas, San Antonio would love to have Johnson's services.

It would've been easy to do, and YES, we still would've had space for 2 MAX guys.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Hawks will probably let Joe Johnson walk away. They have Crawford and look for the to entertain T-Mac with a friendly deal.

The KNicks will by a pick if they love a player, not just to have another pick.

If Douglas was off the board they werent buying the Lakers pick. That wasnt a take the BPA. They scouted him, worked him out and loved him.

Knicks are going to find some players, because Walsh is directly involved and is obviously commited to finding cheap players to add, whether its from EU or the draft.

My bet is they find some guys they love and end up drafting a couple.

I see, so Walsh is directly involved this time as opposed to...?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
